Today is bin day, so a bag of rubble from the utility room floor has been secreted in the bin.
And now the new radiators are in, the revolting towel ring from the downstairs loo has been removed, ready to go into the next CS delivery.0 -
I have hoarded a shelf unit thing from my sisters garage.. the boys can paint it at the weekend weather permitting and my recipe books are being stored on it which will free up 2 shelves in the front room for real books!

Evening all.
Good stuff happening. I've been a bit of a slacker due to ill-health and then being away all last weekend.
Today, I decluttered my In Box by de-registering for emails from 4 organisations. Farewell, Mountain W@rehouse, Co Op, Nat Exp and Flybeee, the latter keep sending me emails offering me cut-price one way tickets to various northern European destinations - d'you think they're trying to tell me something?:rotfl:
Small potatoes but it all helps.
Speaking of small potatoes, I have eaten all the littlies from the HG spud sack and am now onto the normal sized ones - egg sized and above which should make food prep faster.
At the weekend I decluttered some stuff which I'd bought on behalf of Mum as I live in the city and she lives in the town, and took over the Xmas and birthday presents, already wrapped, so I can travel more easily on Christmas Eve. Don't want to be laden like a mule on the coach.
That's freed up some space at the homestead. Baby steps.
PS, I can't access my table either. I've sort of given up stressing about it.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Allo,
Managed to sort a couple of things out last night, had half an hour and just did it after yesterdays freak out post.
The leaf of kale with the attached chrysalis was taken downstairs and out to the garden (been on table since sunday).
I despair - I hoard insects!
Ama*on box dismantled and taken to tip this morning - a box, oooooooh, a box, keep and hide things in - NO
Paper from above delivery folded and hoarded for eco friendly gift wrapping - slightly bad
Excitement this morning as some presents that have been kept since June can be delivered tomorrow - yippee!!!!!
Moment as trying to crochet wee stockings, and thought if I used up the yarn, I would not have any of it left, maybe I should keep some....... NO - use it, make stuff and get it oot the hoose!!!
Kayster - you wants wool - have it, have it all!!!!! If I could knit faster, I'd be delighted to make you a hat, scarf and glove set.
My brain hurts with hoarding and hoarded thoughts.
Keep going folks, you are all amazing :T0 -
:T Great guns, guinea pig girl. I feel the wrench at the departure of the cardboard box and salute your courage.
I have acquired two square jamjars from Mum. I was in a jamjarless state, having all mine in use for herbs, seasonings and teabags, so feel quite relaxed about having two spares. I have been reallly good about getting PNB and sauce jars off the premises on the same day they're used, tho.
After my swathe-cutting thru the InBox yesterday, I found I'd missed out on another of the repeat offenders, the YHA. I'm a life member and stayed in a few in the summer but don't like how they bombard me with stuff all the time inc endless attempts to blackmail me into funding breaks for kids. Not that I'm anti breaks for kids, y'unnerstand, even though funds are limited, but I'm feeling badgered.
So, five unsubscribed, which will thin out the daily drag-in. In convo with my ISP, it seems that even when my emails are down to my pooter, and have been deleted, they're accessible via the ISP's online log-in. Which translates as my unwanted electronic communications taking up space and using electricity.
That's an interesting thought. I wonder how much digi-housekeeping we could do and free up some cyberspace...........? I occasionally have a cull of the Bookmarks, as I tend to grab any site which interests me for later perusal and not all of them are good enough to become more than a one-read wonder.
Am continuing to declutter the freezer and thus having a cheapy month thus far on the old housekeeping. Spent about an hour on a handsewing alteration, needs about another 20 mins so will aim to do that tomorrow as fingers tired and I'm a little bored with it now.
Tomorrow, I will see my lottie for the first time in 3 weeks. Wish me luck.;)Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

For anyone with odd buttons that need to go or be used up, I saw some lovely handmade cards where the button was glued on as a bauble and then hanging threads were drawn on the card with a little bow. There were a number of different baubles of different lengths on the cards. They were simple and very Christmassy.
Ooooohh what a lovely idea. I may try this with paper circles of xmassy paper instead :-Dok i have gone through my loft. 3 old christmas trees getting thrown away, there is one right at the back that i cant reach, other half will have to climb in and get that when i take decorations out to put up, but im happy that ive got these ready for the tip, along with 3 big bags full of junk thrown in there.....made room for all new xmas things i bought yesterdayeverything thats in there, apart from the tree right at the back will now get used in about a months time.....
Lots of excellent progress kayster, did it feel good to replace the old xmas stuff with the new?guinea_pig_girl wrote: »Delurking before disappear under a rising tide of carp. So impressed with all the progress going on, and piles of stuff being heaved. Two more carrier bags of wool brought home (by me)nearly tipped me over the edge. I can't say no but I struggled to find somewhere to put it.
My table is covered in a permanent tablecloth of carp which I can't seem to clear - I need to call the road people and try and cancel me membership, 3 weeks
Tin of Christmas gift making stuff, untouched, large bag of lavender still hidden in wardrobe to make gifts with, and this is November. Can't keep hiding stuff in the loft, but stuff is still incomingbut need to get Christmas presents ordered and have them stacked up.
Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Housework is bare minimum and currently knitting a scarf to try and use one ball of wool up.
Trying to exercise to keep black dog away and need time to chill and calm down, and OH v. unhappy at work.
Dehoarded some paerwork at work, but found that I hoard carp in my handbag and in the car - it's everywhere.
And breathe.
I know how you feel, maybe becuase it is winter we are more prone to 'squirreling' as hoarders, what does everyone reckon?
I certainly feel that things are starting to overwhelm again...
Keep breathing, small steps every day make the difference.
I have a huge pile of paperwork to get through, I just do a bit each daywe can DO it!!
I am having a clothes clear out tonight, I have a lot of strictly to catch up on, I tend to be out or working on weekends so I have missed quite a few. I am going to pop in on the computer and watch them whilst tidying...if I have time I will do paperwork tooDon't turn a slip up into a give up

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! and there you go, excellent progress. I am so glad you looked after the butterfly/moth/whatever was in there.
Well done on the box, paper and gift front too. Onwards and upwards!:T Great guns, guinea pig girl. I feel the wrench at the departure of the cardboard box and salute your courage.

Good luck with the lottie...at least it can't be any worse than the rough so you know you have dealt with worse :-D
I don't tend to bookmark webpages you know, just something i never really learned how to use properly. i feel like we were the lost generation in IT, all the major developments in IT happened during my school life pretty much, I started off on BBC computers in Primary school, then acorn and apple, then goodness knows what (ancient PCs) then onto Windows software in about year 9...we were learning at the same speed as our teachers could really so I am pretty much self taught after that. Its just as well kids get the hang of thinsg quickly...but I digress...no-one ever really showed me how to bookmark effectively.
I feel your pain with the email hoarding though, I think I really do need to unsubscribe from the ones I don't ever read. I have trouble with the voucher deal ones though, I hate being bombarded, but there are sometimes some deals that I do want to get from them so I have to keep getting the emails, sighhhhhhhhh
In other good news though, I no longer have a problem with cardboard boxes, yipeee!Don't turn a slip up into a give up

suzi, all my education was pre-computers so I've had to pick it up over time, inc doing classes to bring myself into employability.
Bookmarking is easy. I'm on mozilla now, so just Bookmark - Bookmark this page. On Internet Explorer it's Favourites - Add to Favourites.
I have folders by subject.................bit OTT but makes finding stuff quicker.
Have done about 5 hours digging on the allotment in 2 days this weekend and have decluttered about 1 lb of glass and nails and plastic. I also dug up what must just about win as the Weirdest Find Underground on a Lottie to date.
Previous record holder was the two-legged plastic sugarbowl (one leg missing) which was plastic pretending to be moulded glass pretending to be cut glass.
But we have gone one better today. Yup, I found an opened 5-pack of K*t-K*ts with one of them still inside the packet. They have been underground for over 5 years since they predate my incumbency and anyway, I've never been known to allow a chocolate-covered biscuit to escape............:rotfl:I also dug up a brick. It only has a little bit off one corner so I am keeping it for a while - might come in handy for something.

Morning all
After a bit of a skive from de-cluttering I have decided today is the day for getting on with it. I'm sick to death of clutter and rubbish. I can't even keep the house clean or decorate properly and it's getting me down. Also DH wants to get the house required so it needs to be done. No one would be able to get around the cellar to do anything.
Anyway the kitchen and bathroom have been done this morning and I'm currently doing the sitting room which is stuffed full of toys everywhere. I have damp corners which never get aired and I'm so worried about it affecting the the little one.
Sorry for the moan. Off to do some work now.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
