Blossom, step away from fleabay :rotfl: Im hoping the money builds up nicely in my paypal account as a back up for emergencies - I live in hope.
Got another bag for Cs, this time from the kitchen. have decided if I havent used something for a year it needs to go, wish me luck with that one. I know its getting bad as Dd gave me a new ironing board cover which didnt fit her board and made me promise to get rid of it if it didnt fit mine
Ordered 2 legs of lamb yesterday on the local market so definately have to empty freezer now to fit them in.
Right off to wander round the house with a carrier bag in hand.......I may be some time....Clearing the junk to travel light

Mumof2 - if my OH had emptied the wheelie bin I'd be tempted to take the whole lot to the tip next time. He won't root through that.
AlexLK - Good to see you here! I tend to lurk as I don't hoard but OH is prone to with some things. Hopefully the lovely peeps here can help you get sorted.
pigpen - arrrrgh I wish I could take your treadle machine! I love them but I already have a perfectly serviceable Toyota machine and a serger haha!

A few more presents etc arrived so these have been wrapped up and excess packaging in for recycling.
Small bag of confidential waste to go.
House is a bit if a mess but not too bad - very good - considering it's half term.
Email is being dejunked as we go along. That is an achievement in itself.
There are a few things still on my list for tonight but I've done 14 since we got home at 7.45, so not too bad.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
If you'd asked me, "Do you have any paperwork left from your old teaching job, Mc29?" I'd have said no and believed it. Today I uncovered some ... hiding in a storage box in the hallway. Paperwork shredded / recycled as appropriate, box liberated for use in the bedroom. Also found, some mislaid unused greeting cards, and 3 aerosols of WD40-type lubricant for use on trike and household locks, plus a trike spray. It would have been four aerosols but I convinced myself that I had c. half a can left when shopping last week. bin bags out including the remainder of the old loft insulation. Plumbers have put new rad in hall and dd's room and fixed the un-bleed-able one on landing.
have spied some things in kitchen cupboards that can go, so will tackle at weekend, as trying to get dd's bedroom back into shape over the next few days.
2 weeks ago I put 2 binbags full of dd's toys in the loft as a punishment for her being basically dreadful (hitting me etc). she hasn't asked for ANY of them back (she has tons of toys), so I'm *thinking* these are prime candidates for the charity shop.
There's also a toy box in ds's room that I know he never goes in to (can't get at it for a start) so that's the second target. third is random bobbins in my room.:AA/give up smoking (done)0 -
How long ago was your last teaching job?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I still teach, but only online at the moment, so the paperwork is virtually non -existent for that
.
I'd hung on to some things thinking they might come in useful. They are outdated now,so they went.
The last time I taught a class in a classroom was at the end of 2011...
It's worse than that though. I shredded a photocopy of a register I'd kept, I would have made the photocopy to support a pay claim.

not posted in a while
made a start in the dreaded attic. 'everything' has been thrown up there and i really want it to be a play room for my kids (i might actually be able to watch my own tv then!!) they are getting to a better age where they can play on their own.
I spent 3 hours up there yesterday and it looks even worse than when I started! However I have kinda got into a system of sorting it, all toys are up there too and have a bag of rubbish so far.
I have also done myself a cleaning rota. So im not doing too much in one day and everything gets covered, something eg. hoovering, dusting more than one a week and laundry daily.
