Glad to see you back! I was worried we'd lost you there for a minute!! Wow you sound to have been busy / stressed/ but making a little progress! Three settlement figures to consider and your bank is in the black still! :T Yay!! Yeah you get some tough decisions sometimes and it's hard when someone like your mum has offered some money to help out. I can see what you mean about not wanting to owe her that much, but then the 40% ones are a good deal! That's cutting a huge chunk off your debt! Definitely something to think about!

Well awaiting phone call from cc company. Spoke to my Mam going to opt for settling the 2 at 40% continue with token payment and hope in a few months they will take nearer 40% for the final.
I want the letters to arrive so that it can all be sorted.
DD seems to be well on the way to recovery now thankfully. I am back at work tomorrow its going to be a hard slog. I will also have to get DD up and take her to Nana's which will be not good as she hasn't been waking up at around 930 not 8 lol.

Well phone call received letters will be going in the post :j
Lady very nice said to keep going and to ring back in a few months to see if it changes.
So as long as letters read well I am aware will be put down as a partial settlement on my record but they wont persue me. I will then only owe them £3491 ...
That will be lovely.

Wow the 2 at 40% are a fab deal! I settled some of mine at 58% and that was as low as they would go. Some like you would only settle for 90%. I would be biting their hands off for the 40% deal they can change their minds (as some of ours have done in the past, grr!)

That's great news! On my credit file some of mine say partial settlement but my credit is so trashed anyway I can't see how it makes that much difference to it :rotfl:. I bet you feel like a weight has been lifted sorting that out :T I know I did when we sorted ours out

They have gone from 7000 in august to 9000 in september (oct) To 7700 now for all. I have just received a txt to say they are pleased to confirm repayment agreement. I cant wait for them all to be over.
Virgin was much nicer 22%. Hopefully my last will come back close to 40% when i next try.

Starting to feel that there maybe light at the end of the tunnel.It is hard to believe it was only a year ago i was an emotional wreck over money/debt considering IVA etc. If it wasnt for the amazing people on this board i probably wouldn't be coping.
I am about to start a challenge with OH I said i can be debt free before him. He laughed although i feel i may win. He went against everything i said at Christmas and bought DS a PS4 which he put on cc. He did however sell his buggy and to my surprise i did manage to get him to pay off the PS4 amount !!! That is amazing progress so although balance has not gone down massively it hasn't gone up either.

I have decided i am very impatient i need the post to come want to read the letter and then i will be happier mam away mid week so so really want it by mon. How long does 2nd class take ?

Well back to work for me today bet its a hard one, Only 3 hours but not done any work for 3 weeks.
I am however desperate to start earning again. Time off without pay does nothing for the bank balance.
