The darker meat is usually softer and juicier than the breast, so I'd use that if you've got it. I would add the cold meat right at the end of cooking and just heat through thoroughly and serve.

Are you using a jar of sauce and just doing a quickie curry? I suppose if you're home now , you could tip the cold sauce over the meat and leave it in the fridge to sort of marinate until tonight. Then just fry off onion etc and add the chicken and sauce and bring to the boil. Never thought of it before, don't know if it would make any difference!!

Have you got any stock or jelly left from cooking the chicken you can scrape in for extra flavour?

Damn I knew I'd fail somewhere, left out the dark meat for eating and saved the breast for the curry! Thanks for the tips though, will just add the chicken at end to warm through. Used the stock for gravy last night

Just noticed I have some chicken breasts which have to be eaten today - only two of them and Im supposed to be feeding 4 people tonight (all fairly good eaters).
I also have tinned peas, carrots, potatoes (whole bag - need using asap), onions, peppers, ham, frozen chips and cauliflower.
Any ideas what I can do? I was going to just go to Aldi and buy some more things and perhaps make fajitas but if anyone has any ideas that could stop me spending any money I would be really grateful.
(ps Im not a very accomplished cook so the simpler the better)

    Thanks in advance

didn't even think of that! Will have a search through the cupboard and check what spices - I am slowly building up a stock as I have just moved into my own place but don't really know where to start with the curry - or should I grab a jar on my way home?
