The potatoes are dirty unfortunately, and I wasn't impressed with the ones I had last week.
Lidl do a similar size and they are usually ok :)

We don't get the potatoes anymore. Even when well within their SB/BB date and stored in our dark garage they've been sprouting and going soft really quickly. Add to that they've all been really small I can't say they're great quality. Buying the Lidl sacks now, more expensive but much better IMO.

Our local store's no longer doing the 2 tins of toms for 80p although the smaller ones are 3 for a £1. Some if the veg bags are no longer included in 3 for £2 so check! Pasta and Easy 3 in 1 are no longer 2 for £1.50.

The frozen fruit - apple & rhubarb in particular - is good value.

And the Coppenwrath & Weise apple & walnut cake - serves 8-10 £3.50. it's absolutely gorgeous, hot or cold. T's have one at the moment for £2 but not sure if it's the same size

Our local store have stopped doing the big cans of tomatoes too, and at three for a pound the supermarket is slightly cheaper.
Last week I bought the "two large chickens for eight pounds" and they were very nice indeed.

Oh my God dirty spuds ?

No need to be like that:cool:

I have nothing against unwashed potatoes, I was typing quickly and 'dirty' obviously slipped out;) I was merely trying to compare prices as a washed bag are around £2 per 2,5kg a large unwashed bag (i think it is 12.5kg) are £5.99 from my Morrisons.

The deals in the latest leaflet look good:D

In the fruit shops the unwashed spuds are actually labelled "dirty" and I am sure they are! :D

That's where I have usually bought it but they haven't had any for weeks now, I thought they must have stopped selling it.

The Dorset cereal is back in B&M as of yesterday plus Jordens granola in 2 varieties 500g £1:49.

Spuds up again! Today they are priced at £3:50 a bag and the variety was Estima. Good news on the bread though, any 2 Hovis loaves down from £1.60 to £1.50....same loaves are £1.35 each in Mr T's, Mr A's and Mr.S's.
