Good morning all (Just!!) DD has gone on her trip, I was very good and didn't cry until I got back in the car!!!
At the moment, It think the only thing we forgot was the luggage tag on her case but that's not a major thing.

Was planning to go back to bed but don't think I'd be able to sleep so going to have a cuppa and a wander round the web......................probably looking at Brussels weather and ferry crossings!!!!

Aww tooch! Hope she has a good time, and hugs to you x

Well, we have the snow. It has settled. It's not deep, but still coming down. Hope I can get back to sleep, want to take advantage of a child-free, work-free morning...

    My plan for today:
[STRIKE]Quick shower / cuppa / brekkie / dress into old painting gear
Empty DS room, take curtains etc down
Quick survey of sanding and filling needs
Locate supplies and stepladder[/STRIKE] oops can't find paintbrushes
Then I think the order of service is: [STRIKE] dewebbing, filling, radiator, ceiling, sanding, doors / windowsill[/STRIKE], walls, carpet up, skirting, inside cupboard if can be arrised and have time, shapes on walls.

D'ya think I can do a room in one day? No paper to strip, not a huge room (2m by 3.3m), not full of stuff, reasonably square and no peeling plaster etc. It only wants a freshen up really.

    Might unpack my bags too...

Have decided am going to take DS to London for a little trip, just me n him. Before he starts school. We'll go on trains, underground and see the sights, and maybe stay over. I just kept thinking while I was there "oh DS would love this...". Is he too young for the Harry Potter tour? It will be in the summer so he'll be 4.5?

ETA it's blowing a hoolie here, white stuff swirling round and round. Glad I'm indoors today. Stay safe and warm... X

    Good morning ladies.

    I admire your determination Kaz!

DH is away. DS1 overnighted at his grandparents. His behaviour has to change.

I'm going straight to work after the school run. I should be back home around 1.15. DH said he would be home at a similar time. He forgets what the Friday traffic is like. I don't want a repeat of last week when he came home at 8.30.

Packed lunches need to be made.... I'm gone.

    Morning folks.

Bossy~~ Harry Potter is not too far away from here North London Watford area, it ias tour rather than a theme park and I 'think' it is all inside. No idea if your son is too young or not.

Pigpen~ the snow may yet come to your rescue!!

    Strike Day 4

Well it seems the 'mesage' may yet be getting through, the fish and chip papers have finally found their way into the bin! and the ketchup into the correct cupboard, dirty dishes in to the dishwasher.

I have been asked who does the DW work ,where is the powder stuff you use, how much do I use.............so I sat on the chair and 'directed operations' !!

Been asked what's for dinner tonight, standard answer now... what you cooking for yourself??

Very basic daily stuff done, my stuff is in the WM...........

Got to sort out what to do with my extra time tonight when I get back from work!!

    Have a good day.

bossy - there is a whole thread about the Harry Potter tour here:-
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4488965

I think that maybe your little man might be a bit young - but there are a number of comments on this thread that may help you make your mind up! DD1 is desperate to go, but is going to leaky-con (HP convention) in the summer so HP tour keeps getting put back.

You do know that it's not actually in London don't you? The nearest station is Watford Junction - and there is a bus that goes from the station to the tour....

Went back to GP's yesterday. Got another course of a/bs. GP happy to give me enough to cover belated Silver Wedding trip away next weekend.... I was really starting to stress about the potential for being ill whilst away.

Now all I need is the weather to warm up a bit (I mean a lot!)

Aim is to catch up today - have had a rubbish week, but initial signs tell me that these a/b's may be working! Am sick of going to bed at 9pm!

Fair bit of tidying and hoovering already done today. Now everybody is away I will mop the kitchen floor then head up to the shower. Need to leave for the paid stuff at 10:30 and do a food shop after that.

    morning all
hope everyone is well and not too affected by the weather (apart from pigpen who im sending blizzard vibes too;))
DD birthday yesterday so table was cleared for tea, ive deliberately not put the stuff back on it as it needs finding homes so my extra task for today is rehoming all the cluttered that normally lives on the table.
ive also pulled out the 3 large wicker baskets full of assorted pens from under the puter table - quite why we need 3 is anyones guess so bonus challenge is to cull them down to 1 basket. i dont actually think anyone has taken a pen or pencil from them in the year plus they've been living there
bins have been emptied and the sheets i bopught in last night are now dry its yukky out so no washing here today got enough ironing for abuot a HHC later

right first coffee of the day while i cull some emails and ill be flying with you.
