Yes you are right, if a seller was using OP to drop ship then all the purchases woudl have come from same account unless they went to all the trouble of registering a new account every time they bought something to drop ship..I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. When 2 previous buyers did contact you - you told them to open a claim.
When others didn't contact you - your upset because they opened a claim.
Make your mind up.
OP has already stated she had her suspicions about the two she asked to open a claim.
Bit different from suddenly having 4 claims.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I send all of our items by standard 1st class post as it isn't cost effective not too since our items are generally between £2 and £5 each and our loss rate is around 2 per week out of around 650 on eBay and 3 per fortnight out of 5,000 on Amazon. (as a side note rather odd that the Royal Mail seem to loose a lot more eBay items lol)
As a general comment (not directed at the OP) it is interesting that when someone gets a run of items not received, for many people the first conclusion is that dodgy buyers are the problem.
On high volume parcels it's probably worth checking with the sorting office they are sent out of and perhaps trying a different one for a couple of weeks and see if the rate starts to drop.
Also worth checking how items are addressed and see if there could be problems creeping in there..0 -

Thank you Valli!
Techspec - the 2 that I asked to open cases both claimed INR after 2 or 3 days and their history showed that they claimed INR a lot - one had 8 feedback and they had left 6 negs & neutrals for INR and the other had 60+ feedback and left negs on every other purchase claiming INR so I believe that in those instances I was fair to ask them to do that but I don't need to justify myself to you.
Soolin - yes all added to my BBL however as Bitterpill has stated that they opened a case when all they wanted to do was message the seller I can't help but wonder if that's what some of the 4 did.
The problem is that I can't ask the buyers to allow a responable length of time as the cases would then be logged against me and in theory could loose me our TRS status - hardly worth not refunding for a combined total of around £15!0 -
You would have to go through about 3 screens though to do that, we all make mistakes but I cannot believe a case can be opened by accident.
OP, I assume you've already blocked them just in case there is something odd going on.[/QUOTE
thats fair enough but the screens all ask your problem and give space to send info to the seller and as its through 'contact the seller' i thought i was indeed contacting the seller. obviously it wont explain the OP 's situation but that was my experience this morning.0 -
Something seems very odd with RM as I've had 4 INRs this month (as a buyer) after only 1 in the past 5 years. I will be sending my next few purchases to the parents-in-law to see if this improves.
On Friday the postman buzzed my flat for a special delivery, but expected me to go downstairs to meet him. They've always come up to my door in the past. When I asked him if something had changed, he began talking about 'elf-n-safety.
Perhaps they lost some stuff in the snow last week..0 -
I have noticed that Amazon customers are generally prepared to wait longer.

It is rarely that I believe that people are 'scammers' however we have always had a higher amount of INR's through eBay but it's not the address labels that are the issue as our software pulls them both through in exactly the same format but I do think that it is partially down to eBay's stupid estimated delivery time frames. I wish that they highlighted the ESTIMATED part as people seem to believe 100% that something ordered at 12pm should be there the next day - in theory it may well be but it's not guaranteed & therefore when it takes 5 days by 1st class post it's us that are the scammers and not sending when we say we have etc.
I think out INR rate of around 7-10 in 6,500 - 8,000 quite good but we do have small runs where maybe 10 items go missing in one day but thankfully they aren't very often. To put in into perspective our INR rate for a relatively small seller sending out 50 things a week (10 a day) we would receive around 2 INR's every year.0 -
Don't panic
This is yet another of ebays fantastic improvements
When a buyer asks a question, "where is my item?" etc this now opens a "query" within ebay, seller has 8 days to solve this query before the buyer can escalate it to a case.

Quick update for buyers
If you send a question to ask the seller you can use the option that says "other" this then does not open a query/dispute but if you go down the "where is my item" route it opens up into a query then a dispute case.0
