Evening all, La Feile Padraig shona dibh go leir!

Woke to snow this morning, it didn't stick and stopped about lunch time when it started to rain, had a big brunch and went for a swim in the afternoon, lovely and quiet in pool.

Fancied something 'different' for dinner so went into M&S on way from pool and got 2 main courses , 2 sides and bottle of wine....€17! used a voucher that I have had since Christmas.....how in heaven's name does anyone shop there?

No washing up bowl in sink and dishwasher all the way in mean mansions....they use less water than washing up by hand and I hate washing up.

Welcome to Lottie'smum...sounds as if you will fit right in here!

Off to an 80th birthday party in the morning, looking forward to it.

DS3 came while I was at pool and fixed my oven....had been using a small one since it broke but am glad to have big one back.

Stay safe and warm everybody and to anyone in Ireland enjoy your long weekend.

    Marie

  • Ah, Sunday... Why does it always disappear so quickly?! Busy day here, baking for the week done (coffee buns and cherry buns, and hot cross buns too), picked up the last couple of bits of shopping (pushed myself just over budget for the month as well, slightly annoyed by that), and sorted the washing out. Just need to pop a load on with the sheets and towels in and I'm all up to date - will put that on at bedtime and deal with it in the morning. Been feeling a little funny this evening so probably off to bed soon in the hope that it goes away before work in the morning.

The boyfriend took me to a fabric/sewing/knitting show yesterday at London Olympia, was a little naughty and brought some beautiful fabric - already turned one piece into my new apron for when I'm teaching food, and started marking a different piece out for a bag pattern that I've been looking at for a while now. Need to iron pattern pieces now though, so I'll put that to one side and do the crochet that's hanging around instead - anything to postpone getting the iron out!

I have just got in from my DDs where I had a delicious dinner of shoulder of lamb cooked by my son-in-law.Shoulder has a taste of its own I think.
I am just about to sit down and feet up and relax, all 'Grannying duties ' done for today, and tomorrow DD is off so I too have the day off from the school run and my oldest friend is coming to visit for the day.
Hope you all have had a good weekend it seems to fly by,I'm looking forward to some spring like weather I must admit, bit fed up with all the rain and wind
    Cheers chums

    Evening all,
hope everyone is ok. Feeling much more human after reading how Sinus Tabs can send you into a brain fog, that's a medical term, I haven't made it up, I'm not surprised I have felt so odd for twenty four hours. Anyway feeling better and have taken nothing since as I scared myself, will put up with the pain until I get to the docs and get a proper diagnosis and prescription.
Hellolotties mum its lovely and cosy here, you will love it:D
Nmlc I'm with you girl, no way could I manage without my dishwasher I'm also a bit of an expert when I fill it. I love how clean and shiny and dry everything is and I would not give it up for anything:eek:
Can't believe we have all spent the day talking about about dishwashers, washing up bowls and rubber gloves ( I use mine in the bathroom as I can't scrub a dirty toilet without rubber gloves sorry tmi):o its Judi's fault she started it;)
I'm so excited about my new business and its really taking shape. I am attending a training course in May in York which will be a big step towards it, hopefully will start earning soon which means we can pay off the DMP much sooner. The course is in York so dh and I have booked a cheeky night away, yeeeh I love York. Staying in a love B&B we have stayed before, beautiful and spotless, if anyone can recommend a good place for our evening meal that's reasonable and good food it would be much appreciated.
Meanmarie I agree no one does shop at M&S, its great for treats if you have vouchers, otherwise forget it. It makes me laugh that I had a friend full of airs and graces who used to say after emigrating the thing she missed most about England was shopping in M&S, she meant her big shopping, yeh right, maybe she bought the odd sandwich at lunchtime:p
I'm so full of writing today I should have written a book, anyway off for another big glass of water to flush my system as advised by the nurse in the family, probably be up all night.
Where is Flutterbyuk, hope she is ok and all cosy with her fella.

Ok halight I'm turning out the light, you have strict instructions to not turn it on until you are full rested💤goodnight all🌌
