Lavertons website - real or not?

Cameras maybe, or high end designer goods might be more circumspect to the average user. Add to this that it was hosted through Google shopping, and came with 5 or more highly visible positive feedbacks from shoppers which can only be left by shoppers using google checkout?
Sites like this target the vulnerable. Have some compassion.
Many legitimate websites offer discounts for paying by bank transfer.
It's not the most obvious sign of a fraudster. Some people have just lost hundreds of pounds on Lavertons. It's not their fault and they are not stupid. They were conned.
No site is hosted by google shopping, any site can be listed on google shopping.
I can't find more then 1 positive feedback for Lavertons, and it's not true that it can only be left by a google checkout user.
I do have compassion for the victims, I really do. But I DO have the benefit of hindsight in this case.0 -
A few weeks ago when most people were buying from Lavertons, there were only positive feedbacks to be found. As soon as a couple of weeks had passed and people began to realise they weren't receiving goods, did the negative reviews start to appear. Mr Crunch first alerted people to the possibility of Lavertons being fake, spotted because of it's resemblance to a previous site. At that point there were no negative reviews.
I tried to leave a warning review on the google shopping feedback, but couldn't unless I made a purchase through google checkout. I wasted half an hour creating a google account to try to do it.0 -
Let's not get into pointless arguments - it puts off new people who visit this thread, and then perhaps they don't report their experiences.0

Also, I can only find 1 (one) positive review anywhere on the web.
I never said there were negative reviews, I said there was a unrealistic lack of positive reviews, and I stand by that statement.0 -
They haven't only accepted payments by bank transfer, i ordered from them and paid by Paypal. I never got my goods. It was only when i got no response from them to emails and messages that i contacted Paypal. They told me that my money was sitting in Lavertons Paypal account and they hadn't claimed it. I logged a dispute with Paypal and was refunded.0

The positive reviews have vanished because Lavertons is no longer in the google shopping listing. They were probably fake and out of date. It seems Lavertons were operating in 2011. They'll probably reappear in 2013.0 -

You should make a mental note to never, ever, buy anything on the internet and pay by bank transfer.0 -
It isn't about being IT savvy; it's about being finance/consumer savvy.0
