I have one used it once:o the paint is very thin and you need at least two coats ,but , there is very little mess :j only buy if you can get cheap .I believe you can water(ordinary paint) the paint slightly so it passes through ,worth a try .
I have 3 pods that have gone hard ,had to store in garage as fire officer said not to keep in house.

I bought the machine from home bargains for 15 quid - bargain, but the paint is so expensive  thought about buying some white which is cheapest and then filling that pod with ordinary paint to do the walls, either that or get the roller out lol
  • :( not so brilliant, I briefly scanned some posts when I came in last night after my meeting and noticed that the zero coke and raisins didn't work. Sorry folks for wasting your money.

Does anyone know how the half leg of lamb compare on PP please?:D

They are on offer at £4 a kilo which is great value and and cheaper than whole chicken! so I'm gonna stock up on a few!;)

another mse question for you also, are half legs better value than whole legs? ie is there more meat to bone on a half leg for example? I'm guessing because the whole leg has more bone the half is better value!! what do you think? any butchers or MSE'rs done any research in this!!

    Cheers!:)

Paint pods to me are a bit of a gimmick and whilst they might be more convenient and easier to use for some than more traditional methods are they worth it?...the individual needs to be the judge of that...cost vs convenience/time saved.

Anyone old enough to remember the Black and Decker Paintmate? It was the same thing and failed miserably at the time.

The paint pods can be bought quite cheaply but the paint is very expensive and will not be any different in quality to standard paint but will have been formulated at the right viscosity for the equipment. Seems to me it's a bit like the cheap printers and expensive cartridges that we are locked into unless of course you refill ink carts or experiment with normal paint to get the right viscosity for the equipment.

:j Looks like another few triggers here (or maybe I am just a bit slow and it's old news!!!)

    Neither of:-

    Lindt Egg & Chick,
    Yorkie Retro Egg or
    Lion Bar Egg

show up as 3 for £10 with As on MyS for me (the Mario Egg would appear to be the one with the Keepsake Tin but it is showing correctly as 3 for £10). With the Yorkie Retro and Lion appearing on both receipts and the multibuy not recognised on either receipt, one or maybe both of these could be triggering ...

    ;)

does anyone know anything about dulux paint pod thingys please?
I've read that you don't need to pay for the special paint, but can top up with ordinary paint - anyone got any experience of this please? Need a lot of paint to do my hall/stairs/landing

I got a couple of the paint pod minis when they were free with any dulux product, so bought a couple of samples :D
Bought the paint, started priming the machine and the batteries melted  The paint seemed too thick for the machine

You need to buy 1 of the paints but afterwards you can refill with any paint. Some cheap colours in home bargains.

Paint pod £14.99, only 2 colours of paint but a bargain at £8.99 for 5 litres.

Thank you artha. I did wonder at the time if it was just a gimmicky thing, but as I seem to always get more paint on me  than the wall thought it might be worth a try :D If only I could transfer the enthusiasm in my head to actually 'doing'something :o

    Thank you.
I looked at those paints weeks ago CoT when they had more colours -one of which would have been perfect, but did my usual dithering self and didn't buy any - the 2 colours left wouldn't be suitable at all.:( Thanks anyway x

Bear in mind though I'm not talking from personal experience though as I would never buy one of those things unless they were being sold off and you got some cheap paint. I seem to remember that a few people have actually used them so you might get some more first hand views on them from those who have actual practical experience.
