Feeling so fed up, cross and frustrated today.

Next door neighbours have put their house up for sale. I went on the estate agents website to have a nosey! I knew they had a lovely house but it looks amazing. They're asking £84,950 which is a bargain as its spotlessly immaculate. Bathroom is amazing, loft conversion, kitchen is a Delia paradise.......need I say more?

    It's so depressing because:

    A) they're great neighbours and I'll miss them
    B) I'm worried my new neighbours will be horrible
    C) I'm worried it'll be a "buy to let" which, if it's like the one across the road, will be occupied by complete kn*bheads who just get drunk every night and brawl in the street at 2am
    D) it's valued at £11,000 less than I paid for mine 6 years ago
    E) it's valued at £3,500 less than I STILL OWE on my mortgage
    F) it's 3 bedroom and mine's only 2, with a less exciting kitchen and bathroom, meaning my house will be worth a lot less so I'm definitely in massive negative equity.
    G) her kitchen is nicer than mine
    H) I bet her bath doesn't leak
    I) I was doing so well with my MFW planning and all the wind has gone out of my sails. My uphill challenge just became an icy cliff and I've got a broken crampon!!!

    Wail, wail, wail!:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Wail away me dear ... You have every right

But don't wail too long, brush yourself off and pick yourself up and look at why you are doing what you are doing, we can't solve everything all we can do is put ourselves in the best position we can to deal with the changes ahead, we can also do our best to get us to where we want to be

So get angry, get it out yer system... Then get your head back in the game and take control

    Rats!
I'm £10 down now because somebody passed a dodgy tenner to me at some point (probably in my Slimming World group) and the lady in the bank spotted it. I hadn't spotted it, having counted them all in a big pile, but when she put it next to a real one, it was SO obvious.

I was mightily embarrassed as the lady cashier filled out a "Counterfeit Currency Retention Form" but the icing on the cake of my fall from grace was when she presented me with my own personal copy of the form, presumably to furnish me with a permanent reminder of the time I tried (inadvertently, I admit) to defraud a major high street bank.

Having said that, they defraud us all the time, so I don't feel that guilty.

    Still £10 down though!

Oh dear Thistle... I hear your neighbourly related wailing.
When you own your own house, all of a sudden who lives next door becomes a lot more important... and I agree on BTL. Generally rented private properties are a nightmare. Our next door (detached luckily) are CLEARLY renting from a parent of one of them. They throw their rubbish out in their back garden (i.e tins of stella x loads) and it ends up all over my garden and driveway.

But thats not helping- I'm sure new neighbours will be lovely do not panic :D

Maybe you should have a valuation done on yours for peace of mind?
