tenants opening/binning post

Hi,
My tenants appear to be throwing away my post, I originally had a royal mail redirection but after 2 years RM wont forward it anymore.
The trouble is, after 2 years I wanted to evict my tenants, but unfortunately they will not leave and I haven't yet taken it to the courts.
I am 99% sure that a few things have been sent there but they have denied receiving them. Once or twice however, they have actually forwarded mail to me.
It is only the odd thing going there, but I don't really want to change every address I have as I was intending to move back in.
Guess there's nothing I can do but it's a bit annoying?

Could cause problems if they just start returning post as "not known at this address".0

Why didn't you change your address with banks/CC companies etc when you moved? You've left yourself wide open to identity fraud.
Your fault entirely.0 -

Was your mortgage account one of the addresses you didn't change by any chance?0
-
Nope.No sympathy.
Your tenants have no obligation to act as your postman.
You should either tell everyone you've moved and/or set up postal redirection with Royal Mail.
You're not only a big boy (or girl) now, you're also a businessman/woman.
Take responsibility for your own post.0 -
The tenants probably also find it annoying that you have your post delivered to their home.
Absolutely! I'm currently a private tenant and my landlord has loads of things delivered here even though he has never lived at this address (it is a new build and we are the first people to ever live here) and it is annoying.
I'm not a redirection service and my time is valuable. If he supplied a stock of labels with his forwarding address then I'd pop them on and put the stuff in the postbox, but as he hasn't the stuff goes back to the sender marked 'addressee does not live at this address'.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
No sympathy: surprised you got away with only binning mail. I had tenant attempt twice to set up mail-order accounts in my name.0

Did you tell everyone who sent your mail to your tenant's address during the redirection that it should be sent to you at your current address?
Did you tell everyone who's likely to write to you that you don't live at your tenant's address?
On the face of it, it sounds like you didn't tell anyone, left the mail to be redirected for two years, and now that the redirection has expired....
If it's truly YOUR mail, it should be getting sent to you at your address, not at your tenant's ...0 -
My guess is that they didn't tell their mortgage company that they were renting the property out. I might be wrong but I know of several people who have done the same.0

Just tell everyone you've moved.
That is the only sensible thing to do.0
