To clarify the lowest incomes (unlike the bedroom tax) are probably a higher percentage overall than the disability factor. And no I don't have the figures
Precisely - Our LA wanted to exempt those with a child under 5, those with any DLA and make others pay 25%. Very unfair, hence why when looking at the books it could be solved by £1 a week for everyone, removing 2nd Person where they are high earners, unoccupied properties etc.0 -
can i do the part time work that is available?
can i sit on a checkout?
i could, but i doube that i would be effectibe and emp;loyable,,,

i worked and paid taves for 30 years. my reward now id to lose £82 a month out of £400
it is nothing to do with me choosing to comtribute.
i contributed for as long as i could. and for what?
struggling for the rest of my life?
im at the point of rolling over and giving in, and i suspect a great many people are the same.
if you really think what is happening is right ...just look at the death toll in the years to come and hope that you feel justified,
nothing is worth the devastation that is waiting to jappen0 -

Another argument is that those on ESA can do permitted work and keep benefits so those who are not totally unable to work can do Self Employment and part time work.
I am not without sympathy for those who are disabled, but my sympathy isn't going to change a thing, nor can I make them build 1 bedrooms.
If they didn't treat Private Rentals less favourably I'd support more, but as I have repeatedly said I cannot support 1 group over another.
Take the U turn on armed forces and foster carers, is this going to apply to Private?
As with the CTB. It is equal as affects both groups but it's a postcode lottery and that is rather unfair too.
We are not in disagreement I don't support LHA being treated worse either, never have never will.
It will be interesting re foster carers and armed forces and LHA. I would encourage an appeal. But that has always been my point the policy was never clearly thought through and they have ignored countless organisations on both LHA and SH, CTB etc. and now it has come back to bite them in the backside. The most wasted day is one in which we have not laughed.0 -
Everyone should simple refuse to pay any increase over & above the actual rise to their CT. The jails can't hold everyone and they'd sharp have to come up with a solution.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

Our area has an exemption for those on DLA, otherwise it would have been around £4 odd a week. I don't know how that will change when DLA is ohased out and PIP comes in.Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.0 -
my last post didnt make sense lol..... vlame the 'voice'
its beyond belief to me that people think thats its ok for people that are just surviving to pay more!0 -
Just a quick question, if you get the support component of ESA, do you still have to contribute to Council Tax Support? Cheers in advance for any info.
I wish that was true!all of us arginally 'bind and deaf') arent really disabled are we?
so just take away everythi9ng we have and we will manage wont we?
I am as deaf as you are blind, life goes on, you are doing alright because the state pays for your PA but we have to fund ours privately.0
