I'm not really that sure how it works to be honest. I found the site by putting my flight number into google because i was hoping someone else might also be trying to claim compensation for the same flight. anyway that website was just one of the sites that came up. I actually got my flight number from Flightstats.
Sorry I can't be of more help.0 -

I've just had a look at the site and yes it was the flightlog but I can't remember how I found my flight because it was back in 2007 and I certainly didn't sit and trawl through all the pages. I'll have another look and see if I can see how I found it.0

Right just had another look. I did search flightlog and entered my details there. That brought up all the TC flights for the day I travelled and that's where I found it.0

hi
Thank you would be very helpful if everyone could find out exactly what reason is given for their flight delay's. Mines was 2010 the reason we were given was because the flight was late in leaving Newark therefore it was late in arriving at Edinburgh to take us back.
I found the flightstats web site very good got lots of info of it but it does not give a reason.
Yes thats what i did but it doent have my flight in the database. Thank you anyway for your help.

Well I've just penned a letter back to TC. I have given them the details required to provide my booking details and told them that if they are unable to do so they must treat my original letter as intended and respond, either way, by the SAR deadline given.
I will also be making a formal complaint to the ICO if they do not comply.0 -
For anyone reading this thread you will know that I have been struggling to prove that I flew with TC because I haven't got my booking reference or tickets etc. however I have managed to obtain a bank statement that shows I paid Flythomascook for something on 16/07/07. Anyway I was just browsing thought the posts I have made on this forum since becoming a member and found this:
"Hi can anyone beat £800 for the following?
Desired destination(s) Caleta de fuste Fuerteventura
Which airport/ports? Gatwick
Holiday Travel Dates. 24/10/07-03/11/07
Type of holiday? Beach, relaxing,
Board basis? – AI
What your price range is. £800 2 adults 2 children
Whether you require an in-flight meal. No
Are night-flights or stopovers acceptable? n.a. flights already booked
Any specific requirements – 4 or 5 *
Thanks all"
The post was made on 16/07/07!
It's not conclusive proof I know but at county court the test is on the balance of probability and not beyond reasonable doubt. I think this will help particularly as the post stated the exact dates I travelled and that "flights" are NA because they are "already booked". You've got to love this website haven't you?0 -
Whilst in the process of claiming for compensation from TC I realised I also had a delay in 2009 when I travelled with First Choice and Thomson. Again I could not find the associated paperwork so I emailed FC for a booking reference on Saturday.
Got a response this morning with my reference number on it. Template letter no. 2 in the post by RD today!0 -
HI Shunter64
Good luck with your claims.

Well needless to say the 40 day deadline for my SAR came and went with no further response from S Bradley, the Thomas Cook Company Secretary despite cashing my £10 cheque to cover the fee, so I used google and established that her first name is Shirley (her email address is Shirley.Bradley@Thomascook.com if anyone needs it).
I emailed her on Thursday evening to tell, her I would be making a formal complaint about the lack of response to my SAR and low and behold Friday morning I get an email from her telling me that she is quite concerned because she hasn't received my letter (sent by RD post direct to her and the address she gave me) and can I resend. Then surprise, surprise I get another email for her the same afternoon telling me that miraculously my letter had been forwarded to their Customer Relations Department in Birkenshaw by mistake (funny that). Anyway in short she has told me that they only keep their records for 5 years so they no longer have any records of my booking that I made in July 2007. They have not confirmed whether they hold any other details on me.
Now I'm sure I read on here somewhere that airlines had to keep records for 6 years (perhaps someone can confirm?) so it does seem strange they no longer have any details but given that they can't even establish that a letter addressed to S Bradley at the address given to me by S Bradley should be given to S Bradley it's hardly surprising.
Anyway I will now be going to MCOL but before I do can someone just tell me whether I have to send a further NBA?
Many thanks0
