Had a cracking body balance class today - I am sure I will feel the after effects tomorrow!! Also tried out my new Jillian Michael's wii game, felt a bit of a wally waving my arms around, but apparently I did running, log jump, hand cart pumping, canoeing and monkey bars!!
I have also been outdoors, cleared out the shed (who knew how much rubbish could accumulate!!) and mowed the grass - now this I will count as exercise, as its a hand push mower!!
Total exercise for today 1 & a half hours please FredGetting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Hi everyone, I've been lurking around MSE for years and posting more since I started buying a house. Didn't spot the weight loss thread until today but as that's one of my major goals for the year so far I thought I'd take a look.
The depressing facts
I'm hideously overweight, we're not talking slightly here but "Jesus Christ!" fat. There were a number of triggers that led to the decision to do something about it...
Realising I was at the biggest waist size even High and Mighty do.
Getting out of breath walking round the supermarket.
Avoiding doing things with friends because I was too embarrassed about not being able to keep up.
...so this year is the year I deal with it. Since January I've limited my calorie intake and started exercising 4 times a week (walking only at this point, I'd quite like to still have working knees at the end of this road) and gone from 463 pounds (did I mention I'm not just a bit podgy?) to 394 pounds. a loss of 69lb or 1 pound short of 5 stone.
So that's where I am, Hopefully I can keep this up, my goal is to get back to what I weighed when I was 18 (I'm now 39) so fingers crossed the "Put down the fork and step away from the pie fatso" diet continues to go as well as it has so far.0 -
