Rate as many people as you can, starting with most recent reviews first, or certainly reviews within the last six months.
Ideally you'll rate several hundred people per one review that you write, at least in the early days
you don't count as a noob now! you have written lots and have had miwa and i be rude on your reviewOriginally Posted by easylife73:

Are you HelenDK over there?
I'm a bit apprehensive about writing at the mo, so have only done 3 reviews but rating as many as I can. You're right, it seems some people have no intention of reading any - so I'm avoiding them. It's not like you'll run out of things to read!0 -
I'm worried about the etiquette of it all! I was away for a few days with it being my birthday so didn't get to catch up on all the people who had rated my reviews while I was away.
I'm trying to spend some time reading and rating but is there a ratio? Also, if someone rates one of my reviews and they have done loads, should I be reading and rating all of theirs? I've been trying to rate 3 for every one rate I receive.
Also, what is the lounge? Just a discussion thing?£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840 -

You're not pants either! :-)0 -
Thanks miwa & Listerbelle, that gives me an idea of what I should be doing, although a bit worried I might offend someone by not rating them when I should! I'm easylife on there without the 73 on the end. My first review has gone from Useful to Very Useful so quite pleased, even if it's not great!0

some rate back a week later. i guess if it is repeatedly ignoring you then yes it is pointless. but i don't check who has rated me back tbh. i just rate regardless.Originally Posted by easylife73:

there does not seem to be any ratio but obv you need to rate a lot more than you write to get readers and to get known in a community. same as anywhere i guess. i have rated over 4k :-o but i comment a lot too and pm people. i am enjoying the friendship side over there, there are some funny people. the site is not a chore like swagbucks and it is easy to fit in there. they are open to newbies and very welcoming unless you are obviously taking the !!!! like some of the new members this weekend.Originally Posted by easylife73:

it is great to go from useful to v useful if new....
also you could put something on your profile such as "if i miss rating you please pm me". It shows that it is not deliberate and that you are a team player which is what they need really.Originally Posted by easylife73:

Oh yeah a few days ago someones review was all just symbols and letters and didnt make any sense, like they'd pasted it in or something so I figured the site was playing up and went back to try to rate it again and it was still the same so I sent them a message saying that I was looking forward to reading it but it wasn't displaying correctly. They didn't reply but I think they slated a review I'd just published. Can't be sure it was them but either they or the one other person who'd rated it marked it v low. This person then published many more reviews with the same problems, so I didn't bother contacting them.£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840
