You can nominate as much as you like, not really much you need to know other than don't believe any hype you might read that guides decide who get crowned. They are probably more likely to find actual crown worthy reviews because they spend time in their own categories and generally have expertise but ultimately you will nominate and Dooyoo will decide who gets a crown. Most crowns come out on Tuesdays x Good luck! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi guys, i'm completely new to this, can anyone send me a template for reviewing?:)Save, save, save, save.0

I would be very cautious with offering out templates or using them as all reviews must be 100% your own and not paraphrased or using small portions of someone elses words. Dooyoo probably wouldn't look very favourably on this. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Just written another review today, might do one later tonight if I get chance. I'm up to £4.56 now, not bad for a few days. My name on Dooyoo is Deankharper2012, I'm open to criticism if anyone wants to take a look and read my reviews.0

I was thinking more of a guideline as to what needs to be put in, eg, price/size/quality etc incase there's anything i miss. I dont want anyones 'words' or 'opinions'.Save, save, save, save.0 -
Hi guys
I'm an old veteran now having been on dooyoo for 10 years but with huge breaks in between.
My advice to writing good reviews is to read around some of the other reviews particularly the ones rated highly or with Crowns, or by experienced writers. This could give you some ideas of the standard of writing expected.
And do rate others because people will check out your profile and see how active a member you are before rating highly or at all
My own particular thing is not to continually post reviews all day, I only have a limited time and try to read a mix of peoples. Posting them at 1.30pm, 1.45pm and 2.00pm means I dont read them and I might miss something good! Often people wont read them at all as they are usually spam reviews of nothing more than the bare minimums.
It's not all hard work though, it can be a good way of having a bit of a giggle and learning new things, if anyone wants to drop by my COF I'm Emma19730 -

I didn't say you did want them. You asked for a template, not a guideline, hence my response trying to stop people from breaking rules and getting in to trouble. Dooyoo usually just ban people right away for rule breaking rather than warning them as obviously the reputation of the site is potentially at risk if someone is breaking the rules. My message wasn't meant to cause offence, I just tell it like it is
Here are some tips for you that I hope help:
Include the price and give an idea of where this can be bought (no need to include a link just say £5.00 from Amazon etc). You can put a rough price as of course prices on some sites (including Amazon) change daily.
Quote a size if it is of importance. For example I would put dimensions for a washing machine and the size of a fish tank gravel cleaner that I just reviewed recently but I wouldn't put the size of bread or sweets etc.
When reviewing a product ensure that you use common sense with regards to how long after using it you review it. With a shampoo a few weeks is probably sufficient but with a tablet, laptop or electrical item I would say at least a month to cover everything you might need to mention but not so long that the product is no longer the newest model or relevant.
I would say that I tend to cover why I wanted a product, then how long I have been using it for, how much it cost and where from (or how much it costs now), then the main part of my review is based on personal opinion. So for example if it was a food product I would say how accurate the cooking time was, if it tasted fresh, if it was filling, some details on the different tastes and textures and I would finish the review by giving an overall rating and saying why.
I may appear blunt in some of my messages but I answer lots of questions everywhere about Dooyoo (to help others) and I see the same things a lotIf you have a specific item you're reviewing and you're stuck just message me on the site or here, I'm always happy to help and I'm online a lot.
Do remember that I am not the most crowned person on Dooyoo but I believe I am one of the highest earners and one of the most regular reviewers too for the last several yearsThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Another tip I just thought of... Try and use a spell check on your reviews. There are times when a spelling mistake could be missed and I do occasionally look back and find a problem on one of my reviews despite checking it several times but a spell checker will reduce mistakes and grammatical errors too hopefully. I'm not 100% on grammar myself (as you can tell I'm sure) but I find that if a review is littered with mistakes it doesn't flow well when reading it and I can rate down for that sometimes if it is really bad. Also, I tend to avoid people who consistently don't spell correctly (they have to be bad though). This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
