Right guys, I'm finally getting there as regards to starting writing new reviews! :j. I've ordered a Bluetooth keyboard to make it easier, as I use an iPad but like a proper keyboard, and have just went to suggest a few new items, but I seem to have a problem....

It's been AGES since I've last been on, and there's probably been numerous changes since then, but, have they changed the rules that you can only suggest certain new things? For example, I'm wanting to suggest my new table lamp I've just bought, but can't find a home section on the drop down menu for the categories, does anyone know why that is?

Oh my goodness, it has been nearly 3 years since I dooyoo-ed. I was totally addicted to it for a long time, wrote a review a day and rated religiously. Time to get back in the reviewing saddle.

There are set categories you can suggest to each month. These categories change monthly. If you want to suggest something and the category isn't there then you just have to wait basically. Sorry if that sounds blunt but that is how it works.

Ah! That's why then! Why do they do that then I wonder? You used to be able to suggest anything you wanted to.

Didn't realise I'd wrote as many reviews as I did (79), hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of things again!

Thank you for this information, I have now joined and tomorrow I will sit an read through it all properly. I take it I do not have to write a review in a set time limit? If so what is the time limit. I would prefer to sit and read for a week or so and get the hang of things first.

No set time limit and no need to ever write a review if you don't want to (although any miles you earn from reviews do expire eventually - I think after a year? I don't know as I've never lost any!)

Georgiegirl - It is probably so that they get suggestions coming in for products that they will likely earn money from. Food doesn't come up very often if I recall correctly so I would think that is why. Also, it means less suggestions coming in so a reduced workload for them and hopefully as they're similar products they can be done in batches. From what I've seen suggestions are very fast once you make them now. Also, the limit is 5 suggestions a week now (used to be unlimited).

I spend more time chatting here lately than actually writing reviews. Must try harder tomorrow
