  • Hi Katykicker

I do love writing reviews and love sites with a community feel - actually, I wish DooYoo had more of a community base (eg a forum), rather than just ratings and comments that I feel people rarely go back to. Believe me, if the place was more community-minded, I am the sort of person who would waste hours on end of unpaid time :)

I'm just a little cynical about the business model at work here, and I find that every so often ploughing through reviews starts to feel a little tortuous and slow, which signals that I need a break from the place. I certainly don't make any judgment about people who enjoy spending their time there, and you're very generous and welcoming to all, which I'm sure is appreciated by many members. You should be paid properly for your time though!

Just checked to find that the two reviews I wrote this week have both received crowns! Thrilled and can't wait to try and get more. Those two reviews have made me over £6!

    Well done

and reviews are very rarely read by anyone who isn't doing it to earn rewards.

I disagree. For example, I put up a review about a twin pushchair I own and it's had lots of reads by non-members. I like to think I have an impact on possible purchases.
  • I use to participate on Dooyoo, not sure what happened. I think I held a grudge after some of my points expired? I might give them a go again.

Thanks for all the top tips guys, I've been giving it a go and really enjoying writing the reviews (I am quite opinionated so it suits me!)

I've been mentioned on the community page as a new member off to a great start which was nice!

Come on Lillyann think of the goodies you could buy! Im trying to find my motivation too... I was earning £20 every 10 days or so in Amazon vouchers but then in July I found it hard as the categories available for suggestions were not ones I write in and everything I wanted to write about didn't seem to be on there.

That for me is the one advantage CIAO has that you can suggestion anything at anytime and are not limited by number of suggestions... are you on there too?

Ciao's pay structure is different to that of Dooyoo. If you keep plugging at Ciao and some people give you E ratings on your reviews, it creeps up, then surprise surprise at around the middle of the month, there's the premium fund shareout which makes your earnings leap up considerably overnight, of course depending on how large a part of the shareout you receive.
