Hello all. Have had a quick read through, hugs where needed. Loved the video of Dylan.

I've been MIA for a couple of days due to being very busy at the paid stuff but all rooms did get some attention this week, so today I've been able to concentrate on the dailies, building up SickDogs strength with a slightly longer walk, and making crafty things for a fundraiser DH is involved with next week.

Can I just say thankyou to Bossy for starting the conversation on facial hair, and whoever it was who recommended the epilator. I got one and it is fantastic.

Catch you later. Washing up needs doing.
Spend less now, work less later.

Skinty, if I had a nice purple £20 note available, it'd be on it's way to you. Sadly, I don't; but have a (((HUG))) by way of consolation.

Thanks LW hugs very much appreciated :A

Afternoon! Kiddies are away to my mums (phew) so I've been up to choose DS carpet, they showed me a similar one to the one I had my eye one, is better colour and a couple of £s per sqm cheaper :money: hurrah

However, on pricing up his blinds, they are nearly £100  so might need to rethink the window plan...

Also been to get some milk and bits and bobs, vacced out the car, put wm on and now settling down to some peace and quiet with a cuppa and some magazines...

    Aaaaaannnnnnd relax.

Bossy do have you an Ike@ near you? I got a Lindmon venetian blind for DD3 room to stop nosey neighbours for £10, but they also have roller blinds from £6 (I live too far out to just pop in for one item, the EX got this blind as Lakeside Shopping Centre is in his neck of the woods)

Oh no msgnomey! Bob it in the airing cupboard and try it tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Skint, yes I do have an ikea very close! Thanks for the tip. I'll browse their website now and pop over in the morning. Tis only 10min from me...:T

Ok so I had my lounge about, and I've just put the TD on :o not something I usually do but hey ho. Have whizzed round with vac, put everything away, and straightened us all out. So once I've emptied TD I can chill for the rest of the night! :T

    3 2 1 - Back in the room :D

Hope you lovelies are all well. Have been AWOL as I'm a lazy mare who has done bogger all for the last few weeks (well apart from a big fly through for my birthday weekend when friends stayed). DH is at home all the time and has become my house husband so I am very lucky in that he lets me and even encourages me to do nothing when I come home from work. I come in and he makes me a cuppa, dinner is usually on the go, he then cleans up while I veg out in front of the tv and something stupid on Netflix.

However I need to change things! Much as I appreciate everything he does including all the washing and clothes folding he only does a surface clean. He sees things like hairy stairs and muddy paw prints on the floors and cleans those up but I have begun to notice cobwebs and lots of dusty surfaces so I guess its time to pull my finger out and start doing something again.

Hope I dont upset him in the process.

Anyway I'm going to have a read back and see what youve all been up to
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Hi there. Gosh, I can't believe I'm the first to post this morning! I've already done an hour‘s work, sorted out cats, birds, our breakfast, washing and cleaned surfaces and windowsill in spare bedroom.

Just had my first cuppa or that should be mugga! We are going to have an hours tidy and clean later, as we may have visitors for coffee late morning, but other than cooking this afternoon I intend to sort out dates and bookings for a holiday and then just chill out from lunchtime. I did two big shops yesterday, one for us and one for friend, and also did 2 hours cleaning at his place, so 'owe' myself a more restful day!!

Good vibes and health wishes to all those feeling poorly or low, and that includes any poorly pets. Bye for now, R x

No, Dusty. I don't need anything enough to spend the minimum spend.

Mrs B - butter worked! Thank you so much for that. She took the miniscule dollop without any trouble at all and got shown a square of white chocolate immediately afterwards to distract her greedy eyes. The result was she didn't try to bite the butter lump so she didn't spit it out. I'm very grateful to you.

We had random intermittent power cuts from 3.00 pm yesterday and they finally found the problem at 8.00 am this morning, so the carpet washer lurked near the soggy bits of carpet all afternoon but I couldn't rely on the 'tricity enough to crank it up. I then forgot to give her the second Propalin dose and she's puddled on the bottom of the curtain again overnight - my fault entirely because I had red wine with the pizza and I can never say no to the second, third, fourth glass. (I'm also supposed to have given it up for Lent, so it's doubly my bad.) She's now lying with her head on the soggy patch. Yuck.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning from here too!

I've had the doors and windows open for an hour for some air but then just got too cold brrr house feels brighter though somehow.

I had a decent sleep (thanks mum:A) a shower in peace, and have even got the oven going. Had some of those part baked rolls on the go so a sausage or two in those for brekkie, and a big spiced apple and sultana cake making the whole house smell lush. We have a charity bake day next week that I've volunteered as a "supplier" for, but I will struggle for time, so I'm doing freezable ones, whenever I've got the oven going.

Through the week I'll do some lemon ones and just sandwich / drizzle them at the last minute. I said I'd do four big cakes  it's all for m@cmillan though so am v happy to help out.

Taking my mum and tots out for lunch today as its her birthday this week, we're meeting a bunch of pals with kids at a brewers fayre with a soft play room so happy days all round!

All I need to do is sort my birds nest out (hair :D) and tidy my craft bits away...

    Catch you later!
