Started Dog on Tramadol last night because the frequent visits to the waterbowl that causes the puddles are, I've finally had to accept, probably caused by pain stress. She settled down completely an hour and half later so while I don't have any curtains, dog blankets, dog duvets or carpets to wash, I've had to accept that something, probably the malignant tumour on her back, has taken more than a hold, more likely a proper grip - she's jumping around like a puppy so it's not the arthritis. I've had a chat with the vet this morning and we've agreed the way forward involving paracetemol as well as the tramadol, but I know that this is the beginning of the end because from here on in, we're just managing the situation. She's absolutely fine having had a really good night's sedated sleep and she's had her first walk. It's just me that's a bit sad.

On a happier note, the butterfly that took refuge between the front doors three days ago is still there with its bowl of sugar water. It doesn't want to go back outside despite a completely blue sky and blazing sun.

We're also still trying to dry the sofa cover and all the bits of dog bedding after the frequent showers yesterday and I've got another load in the WM at the moment. OH says he'll iron it tonight while he's watching the footie on TV (I heart OH for being a good bloke).

    Big hugs, Honey Bear. X

    Morning all :)

MIA yesterday due to paid stuff, took me all day to get stuff done and I'll be working all day today as well once I've eaten my early lunch.

DD has been helping with flying. She swept up all the mud she'd trodden through the house with the dustpan and brush, washed up, tidied up and dealt with tea two nights on the run :D. The place needs cleaning properly but I'll deal with that next week as I'm busy tomorrow as well. No doubt I'll be busy over the weekend between laundry and needing to do some baking for DD's lunch box. Also need to take DD shopping for a couple of t-shirts as part of her birthday pressie for when she goes on holiday ;)

My finger is feeling much better, but still tender to touch. The antibiotics are definitely working :D

Now time to sit down and have my early lunch ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Have just had a quick read of the thread and everyone seems to have been quite busy this morning, maybe it's the lovely sunshine :) I hope everyone else has it as nice as it is here :)

Honey Bear so sorry to hear your dog is not too well
Rowan tree, mrs moneypenny and toochoosey thanks for the company, it looks like you all got quite a bit done this morning :T

I think this morning has been a successful one for me, so far I have:

    DW run and unloaded
WM running - will hang outside as soon as it's finished :D
    S&S kitchen
    S&S bathrooms
    Dusted throughout
    Swept and hoovered throughout
    Emptied all bins
    Chicken from freezer for tea
Decluttered a pot of coffee and marmalade on toast :D

I just need to check the bank account online and then I'll be getting on with my assignment (on a roll yesterday so hoping to continue with good progress today :) )

Back later, have a good afternoon everyone x

Oh goodness me, hugs to mrsgibbs, honeybear, LW and anyone else in need today.

Thank you Ruby we are good today. Kiddies trashed the playroom this morning, so I'll be expecting a tidy session this aft whilst I do a hhi or two. DW been on and needs emptying. Dentist visited to collect trays and park visited to declutter child-energy. We walked round the lake (more a big pond), went in the play area, had a picnic of apples, warm squash from a flask, and crackers to dip in cheese spread :D. Then had another play, put the bike and pram back in the car and went for a wander in the wooded bit. The pond was iced over, and the sun went in so we came home before DD went blue (she does tend to in the cold).
So we are home now, and cosied up on the sofa with the heating on, cuppa for me and more warm squash for the littlies. And they are snaffling strawberry bootlaces.

Think I might need to keep DD awake, she's looking very noddy... Will do them some lunch after my cuppa.
