Bossy, sorry to hear DS is out of sorts atm, and hope you both had a better night.
After 3 nights in his own bed (which is in my room anyway) my DS stumbled across into my bed at 3am, I asked him if he wanted a cuddle with Skint Baby Holly and me for 5 minutes and he said "I want to stay in your bed forever and ever" starting stroking Holly's hair and dozed back off to sleep.:) I need to either loose half my body weight by Easter or get a bigger bed, as DD1 is coming home from Uni then and has called "dibs" on a space in my bed for a cuddle :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: bless her she is very homesick atm, so flying has to resume in earnest...

Bobbley knitwear, defuzz
7 froggy phone calls attended to this week, been to Council Offices in person :eek::eek::eek: to give them paperwork to prove Skint Baby exists and therefore I do not have as much disposable income as they reckon :mad: Been to bank to pay in Dad's gift, then killed one of my CC's with it before the kids or the House swallowed it up. :money:
Been to Minor Injuries on Monday and got my arm dressed, had HV visited Monday and again yesterday, she referred me back to GP as she was worried about me, Dr has re-jigged my meds for the Big Black Clouds today, so we shall see what happens.
Peeled back dressing today for a peek, while it is not great, it is looking a lot better even though itching is driving me crazy
Just made brunch in oven, and mixed up a packet of cookie dough (out of 20 packets I bought from a :money: recommended site)....I de-cluttered the bowl of the remaining raw cookie dough (I haven't "licked" a bowl since the salmonella scares of the 80's) very satisfying indeedand now I am proceeding to de-clutter some cooked cookies under the guise of quality control
:D:D, I am not sure but I think I may need a few more cookies just to be sure
The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Good to see you back on your usual top form Skint B. I hear cookie dough and cookies have miraculous healing qualities so scoff on, I say.
Is there a Lamewolf in the house? I thought of you and Mary this morning as I took the bedroom curtains down - long Indian cotton bedspreads that have lengthened themselves over the years until the 'hem end' stretches a foot across the floor. Dog has managed to leak over both of them today so they're in the washer along with several bed blankets and plastic sheets. I can't be doing with the niff of dog pee. I might even crack out the carpet washer again after I've dusted off the curtain rail before I put the curtains back up later. She's a very happy little soul, but it is getting to me, what with OH and his wine and Dog and her bladder.Better is good enough.0 -
Aww skint maybe boys are just cuddly
Last day of paid stuff today, and nothing really in the plan until Sunday, other than a quick dentist visit to collect my trays and DD at football on Saturday.
So hoping for a quiet couple of days with some visits to park if its dry. Ooh we might go to the one with a pond and feed the ducks! <runs off to check weather forecast> aha, dry and bright tomorrow morning, and positively balmy at 5deg :rotfl: I think we might even pack a tiny picnicand shove bikes and prams in the back of the car! Hurrah!
Of course the longer we are outdoors the less mess we can make
Anyway, I took the liberty of a quick shop during lunchbreak, so we are stocked up with milk, fruit, salad bits and snacks. Not bought anything for freezer as I really need to run it down and get a grip on what's in there.
Have also made beds and tidied round upstairs, off to load wm then back to paid stuff for a couple of hours.Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Hope LW is ok.Honey_Bear wrote: »Is there a Lamewolf in the house? Mary will be arriving on 23rd, and the good news is the agent herself is going to take her overnight the evening we're going to the opera, as 3 hours is just too long to leave her.
Bl00dy 'ell, it's snowing - gotta go get the washing in.
Laters.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Finished cleaning the bathroom
Hoovered the stairs
Cleaned the new window
Poped to Mr L
Popped to Mr M
Visited friend for tea and cake
Emptied WM
Plan, wash up, get washing in (it has had 5 snow showers on it so doubt it is dry) and then to DS3's parent consultation. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Been at the paid stuff today and when I left, I bumped into the Letting Agent for our property and mentioned to him that I'd been intending to email him (a huge frog) regarding a few jobs that the Landlord could do with attending to. "Of course" he said "I'll pop by in an hour":eek::eek::eek::eek:
Cue a mad dash home and flying like my life depended upon it :rotfl:
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was decluttered in one fell swoop into whatever, cupboard, drawer, ottoman, wardrobe, desk that was nearby. Pots washed, recycling out, kitchen floor swept, toaster decrumbed, empty egg boxes and gibble from the top of fridge put INSIDE the fridge, some pots flung in the microwave, dirty pile of laundry flung in the TD - you name it, if it was nearby, it was fair game.
He said he can see we've done tremendous things since we took it over from the previous tenant and will be wholeheartedly putting forward proposals to the Landlord. :A
This concerted effort has certainly made today's list more manageable, now just need a fortnight to declutter every blimmin orifice in the house :rotfl:

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Bossy I laughed out loud at Master Moo's desired subject for discussion. Bless him. And yes I think boys are more cuddly.
LW I hope you are feeling calmer now. It makes me angry to think of you so upset.
It's blimming well snowing again  Despite being forecast well in advance of the snowfall on Monday, our local council did not grit ANY roads, including the major A road linking the M25 with the coast. Unbelievable.
Today is not going well; the WM was being silly and not draining earlier (fingers crossed it seems to have pulled itself together and is working properly on the next load), I thought I'd pressed 'start' on the DW over 2 hours ago but apparently not  and the Tax Credits people claim I owe nearly £2500 as they have been paying me for DS when he's not eligible any more (being 18 and at uni) All paperwork since he was 18 shows only one eligible child - DD - so it's their error. I really can't face phoning them
Anyway there is a chicken in the oven which is smelling lovely. The chicken that arrived in my shop was twice the size I was expecting and only DD eats meat. Good thing she likes chicken cos she'll be eating it in many different forms over the next week :rotfl:
Love, hugs, sticks, spoons, huggles and sloppy kisses all round xx*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
Aw Bossy how sweet - he obviously had some important "man stuff" issues to consider. Glad you were all ears for him.
