Agree entirely with last comment.
People should not ring mobile co's & bring needless attention on loopholes that bring excellent savings..
i know s-f is still valid on o2 & t-mobile & it would be good if the mobiles co's were not bugged about it!0 -
If most of the Operators start to charge for the 0744 num ... do you think SF will change their number ? or will th eoperators be charghing for premium rate for all 0744 numbers ??0

its a Mobile number & is officially quoted like that on the Ofcom websites!!
indeed 02 & T-Mobile accept it as such & include it in their free minute plans..
It's not 'rubbish'... yes, it's looks like a mobile number but Orange class it as a 'calling card' number as that is what it is (it gives cheap calls)... perhaps, you should read the other thread and see what Ofcom replied to another poster (last post in the thread).0 -

Orange are treating all 07744 (and 07745 followed by up to 5) in this manner, even non-existant incomplete ones0 -
Hi Folks,
Just a note to everyone that from the 09/04 Orange have started charging for
07744 numbers as advertised on https://www.simply-fone.com. This occurred without warning on the 09/04 and a voice mail message has now been added to warn that this is a premium rate number. I called to complain about being charged without warning for this number but apparantly in Oranges terms and conditions you will be charged for using a number like this that gives you a dial tone to make further calls.
