I have books, I love them. We have a small bookcase upstairs for children's books (plus 2 toyboxes full - one of baby/toddler type books and one for what won't fit in the bookcase)

I have 1 shelf for my books (plus boxes and a pile in the bedroom, and thats after loads went to the charity shop!) OH has 1 shelf for his cookbooks.

That's with a load of books on my kindle too :o

I am having a bit of a Stephen king phase atm...

Maybe they have shelves and shelves of p()rn in another room, with the 4 poster bed and fluffy handcuffs... or maybe that is just my house... mind you the Dodgy Mail would want pics of it in use.

I actually have 6 huge bookcases and 4 cardboard boxes of childrens books having binned 4 binbags of shredded (loved to death) books last year and 3 bookcases of grown up (not rude!!) books.. and my kindle and £80 of book tokens from christmas to spend.... and a 42in. tv attached to the xbox (we have no tv signal so never watch that.. I refuse to pay the fee for the crap that is shown)

I've got everything in some semblance of order (though it's not quite a dewey decimal system!). Is anyone else particular about filing their books in particular places?

I colourblock mine :o on my lovely shelves in the front room! White and cream on the top shelves, shades of blue on the next one down, the rest of the rainbow on the lower ones. Ultimately I'll have the rainbow int he dining room and the white, cream and teal coloured ones in the front room for maximum colour co-ordination. :D

In my defence I had to box up almost all of my books for years when we converted the loft and there just wasn't room for enough shelves. Once we had them built into the front room I got a bit carried away unboxing them :o:D
