I am thinking of writing.. "Not guilty,... No tv on the date of the alledged offence... Can case be withdrawn.."You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

Thank you very much for this
The fines are no-where near as high as I thought, so now I have another option,
Is it the Court your write to ask for the case to be withdrawn?
I am thinking of writing.. "Not guilty,... No tv on the date of the alledged offence... Can case be withdrawn.."
Is that ok? Again, is this an option in N Ireland? And lastly, can the court write back and say what about the other 3 months?? (Will they be aware of the other 3 months?)
Tia everyone.
Whatever you did or did not do in the 3 months prior doesn't matter. You need to be found guilty first then they'll bring up your history of licensing to determine the level of fine that the magistrate could impose.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

The court has no authority to withdraw the case at this stage.
Only the BBC can do that.0 -

It's not even the BBC who sent the inspector, put in the paperwork or employ the inspector. Please stop making things up it helps no one.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I didn't say it was. It is the BBC that is responsible for the whole thing, and it is to them that the OP should complain.
BTW this is the person in charge. She works for the BBC, and is paid £140k, IIRC.

I appreciate people can be experts on everything, but it would be nice if they at least checked their facts before shouting down those who do know what they're talking about.0 -

You said only the BBC can withdraw the charge, YOU were wrong. The rest is a non sequitor and just bluster and waffle. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Like a lot of people on the internet who are factually wrong, you are also resisting saying what you think the truth is - because you know it will confirm that you are wrong.
Presumably you think it is either Capita - the BBC's outsourcer, or "TV Licensing" - the BBC's trademark.
The TV Licensing website says this:'TV Licensing' is a trade mark of the BBC and is used under licence by companies contracted by the BBC to administer the collection of the television licence fees and enforcement of the television licensing system. The BBC is a public authority in respect of its television licensing functions and retains overall responsibility. The rest is a non sequitor and just bluster and waffle.0 -
The court can do it at any time too, of which you are surely aware. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

How......?
What process would be used?
We aren't talking about "any time", but specifically between Summons and the hearing.0 -
