  • And I'd bring the Doritos and dips!

You are more than entitled to have an off day and you don't sound stroppy re SIL. It would probably do her good to be with Mr SA alone and see how you do it time and time again.

Do something nice to treat yourself tonight Xx

    Thanks ladies!

Feel slightly better today - I think it was just the pure shock of it all - it came totally out of the blue. Made me think who have I got to support me.

So - onwards and upwards. Still going to avoid her tomorrow and Saturday. At least Mr SA will have someone there over a longer period of time rather than us all turning up at once.

Trying hard to stretch my last £5 until payday, or at least until tomorrow when Mr SA's ESA goes in. Bank account looking very sorry for itself at the moment! Managed to fit in another session of 30 Day Shred last night plus 30 minutes of Fly Lady-ing. Kept me busy and my mind off things.

Mr SA's consultant is supposed to be popping in to have a word with me tonight about the next steps.

  • I hope the next steps are to your satisfaction and glad you feel a little better about things today.

Good luck with stretching that fiver Xx

SA, have you spoken to anyone about how Mr SA illness has affected YOU?

is there a support organisation for his illness who can put you in touch with someone?

No wonder you were feeling down. I have such admiration for how you have kept going.

you do know we can be your out of hours friends...not as good as the real world maybe..but in some ways you can say what you like in here.
I'm up at all hours, wish I could sleep better. A daughter who didn't sleep until she was three, and seven years night shift saw to that.

  • Hello SA XXXXXXXX

SIL is a giant !!!!. What did she expect you say "oh diddums" What plant is she on??

Sorry I know the thread has moved on from there! Re friends, I often say my online friends are my best friends, it is so hard when you work full time and have other "stuff" happening to keep in touch even under normal circumstances. Friends are so important for us all.

you must make time for yourself SA, you still exist - you aren't just there to fill in bits in other people's lives.

I am going to say it again, you must make time for yourself!

keep posting here and buy full size wine :)

Thank you all you are fantastic! At least I know I can come here to let off steam! :A

No sight of Mr SA's consultant last night. I don't think the visit from him was set in stone anyway so not too disappointed. Mr SA himself fine and physios are pleased with his progress.

I had a lovely surprise yesterday - a work colleague bought me a beautiful bunch of flowers. She said "you deserve these":)

Decided to finish work early today, partly so I have a bit of extra time to myself and partly to avoid SIL. She can stuff her lift home tonight! I'll get the bus. And I really don't feel like making polite conversation with her tonight. At least I'll be home before dark, have time to do another session of "shredding" and Fly lady-ing before putting my feet up with a glass of wine - have just had two days alcohol free so looking forward to this.

Popped in the bank yesterday to clear some old ISA accounts off my online banking list - don't know why you can't do this yourself online and the cashier said "oh you have some interest left in one of them do you want it transferred to your current account". All 84p of it!

Also found out when 0% finishes on Halifax card and it's 28 January 2015 so have plenty of time to clear it. Goal is to clear it by the end of 2014 at the latest.

Day before payday tidy up of current account has resulted in a cheeky mid-week transfer of £4.62 to my VSP. So now have £278.49.

Payday tomorrow so many more financial dealings to be done then.
