The news tonight is - it's looking doubtful Mr SA will be going to brain injury place. His consultant is not happy with this decision as he thinks it will do him the world of good. Asked ward doctor if she knew the outcome of MRI scan. She said "there has been no progression with the disease". One one hand this is good but on the other hand this means it hasn't been cleared. Apparently consultant will have a chat with me on Tuesday.


On the plus side Mr SA is recovering well, eating and drinking and his OT and physio think he is doing great.

Bless you all! You are all so lovely and supportive.

Had a busy day today as always. Goal for this weekend is sort out bedroom and if time clean out kitchen cupboards. Really need to sort out holiday bag as it's looking like there is no holiday on the horizon any time soon. This is full of holiday toiletries which might need using up. The main aim really is to spend as little as possible - so there will be no trips to town this weekend.


Took dog on park across road twice today for a run around and throwing ball. Lucky to have this on my doorstep.


Started being active on Facebook recently after joining ages ago but not posting or looking. Good side is I have got in contact with long lost friend in Australia who I had lost touch with plus re-discovered some of my cousins and have had some nice comments re Mr SA. Big downside is do I really want to know about everyone else's wonderful lives and the wonderful things they are doing. You might say people exaggerate but I know they're not for sure. Yes I will confess I'm jealous.


And I finally started the 30 day shred dvd. Started back at level 1 as haven't done it since March. Survived!!! Be it on my head if I regret it tomorrow!


Mr SA ok tonight - on a fluid drip and quite confused at times but ok considering. I honestly still can't believe how much my life has changed since this time last year. Every time I think about it it guts me. I know I'm not the first (or last) to feel this way - I feel the only people I'm really getting some real support from are you lot here in MSE land not the real life people who are only concerned with themselves.

I coulden't cope with one quarter of what you deal with.
*You look after a house & a dog
*You watch out for Mr SA & visit every day.
*You work full time :eek:
*You look after finances and keep everything on track beautifully.

Oh SA I wish we could help make this easier.

It's a lousy thing to have happened but, and this is the point most folk miss, it didn't happen to just him. You've been pulled into this and you're expected to be everything you were before, plus become a medical expert, the shoulder for others to cry on, Mr SA's motivator, keep the house going single handed, chief visitor and Uncle Tom Cobbley and all. But everyone sees he's ill but missing you're the one keeping it all together. The pressure is unceasing.

You need to look out for you. You need to take time and maybe keep the holiday bag packed and have some me time.
