Good evening all
Mr SA saw the brain injury unit people today but they are not sure he is bad enough for them. Apparently they take on people with not much hope. However his consultant is pushing for them to take him as he needs intensive physio. He has had another fall today. Decision should be known tomorrow. Tonight Mr SA was fine healthwise but mentally still not with it. You can't really have a conversation with him. For example he asked the nurse if she got a discount in the shop downstairs that sells workwear as he could do with some new work clothes - there is no such place! Don't know why this is happening.
Still haven't managed to fit in exercise other than walking. Have done just over 16000 steps today. Walked to work and went for another walk at lunchtime. Plus walked dog twice today. Walk walk walk - it's a wonder my legs don't seize up!
Have bought an Asda 3 month delivery pass for £15. This will save quite a bit of money and means I can now have my order delivered at the weekend instead of late night mid week.
Fly lady thing has been quite easy this week so far so feel I'm on top of the housework and I still had time tonight to have a nice soak in the bath with a glass of wine. Like how it reminds you to do things like water houseplants - which I always forget about!
Only one week until payday - so near and yet so far!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Ugh, that must be tough SA and I would imagine a bit frustrating. And worrying well it is permanently worrying but extra worrying with the falls. Still extremely good on the health front. It is progress.
Flylady scares the knickers off me, I used to get the emails but they became about selling her stuff so I stopped them. House is a tip!
I hope with all the walking (which is amazing) you are sleeping well good on you for the bath and wine

Hope the right decision is made,
Ditto!
Keeping all digits crossed for a decision which will help MrSA (if that rehab unit turns out to not be appropriate for MrSA's needs, then what other intensive physio department are available in your area?).0 -
Can you not argue that he has post traumatic amnesia /hyper confusion and therefore he needs to go to the Brain Injury unit for his own safety?
Hope everything has been a bit better for you today XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hello all
Buffy I only do the FlyLady in MSE Old Style. Nothing too extreme!
Still waiting to hear about rehab decision. OT is assessing how well he can dress himself tomorrow.
Lucky you have a good point there and I think his confusion is being taken into consideration.
Robin where he goes if not brain injury place will be discussed - don't know of any other local places. There is to be a case conference which thankfully will include me.
Beanie - I've heard you have to be in a really bad state to go to this particular place - road accident/bad stroke etc. Bloke at work went there a few years ago and he was paralysed from the neck down. He said they were brilliant there and he's now walking again.
Back tomorrow with Friday finances.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Good news that Mr SA is making progress.
Best of luck with the case conference, so glad they're including you.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Friday at last!
Friday is finances day - nothing much going on on that front as the last week before payday is always a tight one!
So... a measly £1.76 to the VSP and £10 to the Halifax card.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
