Good to see you both back Beanie and Wannabe :)

Got the hairdressers this morning for a cut and blow dry then it's back home to make a start on DD's wardrobe (finally). Going to aim for getting the basic structure up today then finish it off over the next two days.

DD has got some extreme decluttering to do in the spare room as she's stored all her stuff in there. At the moment this room is full of gym equipment, not in use since I started going to the gym at lunchtime. I'm thinking about getting rid of it and turning it back into a bedroom. The equipment is quite old but still in working order, not sure if I could eBay it though. Will think about it.

I've enjoyed my break from work, even though I haven't been anywhere other than the park and the local shops since last Saturday. I've got loads done in the house and still had time to relax. Still it will be good to get back to normal next week. I've missed my work colleagues and it will be good to see them again. It will also be good to get back into my diet and exercise regime. Plus at least I'll know what day it is :)

It's been torrential rain all night here, dreading taking the dog on the park, it was a mud bath yesterday.

Probably Beanie, I don't usually dabble with it though.

Beautiful sunny morning when I went to hairdressers, almost warm in the sun. Hair looked fab when I came out, really pleased with it, and still sunny. Nipped into chemist for Mr SA's meds then Mr T for a paper, took about 10 minutes, came out, spitting with rain, my house is about 10 minutes walk from shops, then torrential rain, nice straightened hair ruined, not a happy bunny :(

That aside, we've put the drawers of DD's wardrobe together - successfully thanks to me. Mr SA just wants to use any screw that fits, not necessarily the ones stated in the instructions. I made sure it was done properly, although Mr SA thinks my hammering technique is wrong! That was enough before arguments started so we'll start on the frame tomorrow. To be honest the instructions were really clear and easy to follow so you couldn't really go wrong.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

  • Great set of goals you have for 2018 SA. And I think your list of achievements for 2017 were wonderful as well, especially in view of your ankle.

How very annoying about your hair!

DD should be very pleased with her room once you get the wardrobe finished. You sound like you’re ready to get back to work now though SA :)

P.S did DD see her mystery man at all over Christmas?

No she didn't, although she saw him just before. I'm really hoping he isn't married as she only sees him now and again. Shouldn't let my imagination run away with me, it could be he lives away.

    Last day of 2017

Mr SA woke me up at 6am (this is a lie in for me!) by switching on the big light to look for the tv remote. I wouldn't mind but he's back asleep now.

Not sure what we're doing today, I was hoping to go to our local for lunch but Mr SA is still full of cold and isn't keen. I suppose we could always go tomorrow. If this torrential rain carries on we'll be sailing on the park across the road, it was flooded yesterday.

We'll be putting some more of the wardrobe up at some stage today. We know how to live :rotfl:

Here’s to the working away theory. BUT next year may be the time that they get together properly.

I hope you got out for your New Year ‘s Eve lunch - but if you didn’t manage it have a  with me and have a few jars tonight to see in 2018. And here’s to a peaceful, healthy, prosperous New Year to you and the rest of the SA family.
