    I am absolutely shattered. We've had visitors since 12 noon and they've only just gone. SIL and BIL turned up unexpectedly then DS and family came. Mr SA ate half the buffet before anyone arrived so had to replenish stocks quickly. He enjoyed the sausage rolls and made sure I kept some back.

    Even the dog is shattered.

    DD was at work and unbelievably hadn't left the presents for DS and co. Texted her and she said she still had to get some. She didn't finish work until 4 so they had to wait for her to get back and wrap them. Then she didn't have any wrapping paper :mad:

    Talking of wrapping, Mr SA has yet to wrap my present. He wanted me to wrap it but after I bought it myself I thought it was the least he could do.

    Thank goodness we've just got a Mr M curry tonight, don't think I could face proper cooking.

    We've got a bottle of champagne chilling for tonight - hope it's ok it was from Lidl on Black Friday and only £8.99.

    And breathe ....

    Happy Christmas everyone :xmassign::snow_grin :beer:

    For information the cheap Lidl champers is lovely :) And much better than the small bottle of Lanson I have been saving for ever for my Christmas Eve bath. Just shows you.

    Plans for tomorrow are dog walk on park, possibly go to local for one, then main meal at night. DD has a chicken breast crown, Mr SA has a beef joint and I'm making myself a nut roast (minus the lost seeds).

    Hope everyone has a fab day tomorrow xx

    Well the big day is finally here :xmastree:

    Have just made my nut roast, hope it's worth all the effort! Have just sat down and Mr SA is asking about lunch!

    Got a bizarre present from DS - a bottle of white wine (he knows I drink red) and a weird book with British quotes in it that is just not my thing. I wondered if I'd got the wrong present but I spoke to him this morning and he mentioned the book. DD has bought me a bottle of gin and Mr SA a bottle of whisky.

    DD got up at 12, unwrapped her presents in seconds, declared Christmas a waste of money and went back upstairs.

    Mr SA doesn't want to go to the pub :( but has suggested instead we go to the Boxing Day sales tomorrow - not a chance, no way, never!!

    Hope everyone has a fabulous day :)
