Sending you lots of (((hugs))), Sun.A.
It was a relief to read your penultimate update, alas not so the last one.
Don't give up; MrSA needs to see confidence in your eyes when you visit - that he will get through this.
..Even if you have to fake it on bad days.
Very much hope that tomorrow you find MrSA's line infection has responded to the anti'b.s and he's less confused. Also that the ECG doesn't throw up anything which further complicates matters.
If possible, I would heartily recommend a decent dog-walk at one of your favourite places before you enter hospital-world to visit MrSA.0 -
Sorry to hear everything sounds so tough.Have faith that the hospital know what they are dealing with and will have seen this many times before. Many people have to change chemo regimes. It must be very scary for both of you.Big hugs to both of you and hang in there.xxxx0

Oh SA, this must be so hard seeing him like this. Hope Taxis post has offered some hope for you xxMummytogirls x0

Thank you so much all of you for your kind words and good advice.
You will be pleased to hear Mr SA is on the up again. Still not very mobile and a bit wobbly in the mind but heading in the right direction. They are giving him the injections to encourage stem cell production and are still planning on the harvesting next week. He desperately wants to come home but is not well enough yet - but won't see it from the doctors point of view! He can be very stubborn can Mr SA!
On the money front I've added £3.58 to my VSP which means I've now got £200.25 in it and finally made it over the £200 mark which seems to have taken forever!!! I've also paid another £10 off the Barclaycard which means it's now gone under £1000 (woo hoo!) and stands at £990. Payday next Friday so I am planning on paying a fair bit off in order to keep on track to have it paid off by the end of August (so determined to do this!). Then I can chip away at the larger debt on the Halifax card but have plenty of time to do this. I will also be setting myself a strict budget on payday which I MUST stick to. No more willy-nilly purchases!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Well done to you and Mr SA for pulling through the dark day and even more so to go for the savings and debt payments.
Happy Friday! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi everyone
Mr SA is continuing to improve. However his mind is still not good and he can't remember who visited him the night before or even what time of the day it is. I know I need to have patience with him but find it quite frustrating when he says I didn't visit him the night before when I've exhausted myself visiting him every single night for the last 10/11 weeks! He also keeps asking me to bring him stuff (eg Greggs cheese baguette) and then doesn't want it when I take it in! He starts his stem cell harvesting tomorrow and then should be coming home for at least a week, maybe starting next weekend, all being well. After his time off he goes back for 2-3 weeks for the high dose chemo and stem cell transplant.
I've just done an online Mr T shop and used a £12 off when you spend £80 they kindly sent me. I'm under the impression that I've ordered enough stuff to last me 2 weeks (hmmm). eBay listing is free today and I've got tons of stuff to eBay so need to motivate myself in this respect. There's always so much to do and so little time to do it in. Everything revolves around hospital visiting.
Mr SA's brother and wife have gone on holiday for a week. Everyone around me at work is either on holiday at the moment or going in the next few weeks and the talk in the office is all around holidays and it's making me so fed up! Especially as I had to cancel two holidays this year. I know we will get away again at some stage (probably looking at the end of this year or even early next year) so need to get a grip on myself really - I'm being silly and Mr SA's health is the most important thing. But still yearn to get my nice normal life back.:( Can't even sit in the sun this weekend as the weather's so rubbish!
Rant over! Normal service will resume shortly!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Aw Hun I so know how you feel. It's so frustrating isn't it?! I remember feeling like "right, if you won't remember me coming in and give me grief about it anyway, I might as well have a night off from visiting and at least the grief will be deserved". I never did though!
Hopefully this stage will pass quickly and also that the sun will return soon too. Everything always seems more positive in the sunshine, not least missing holidays.
Take care XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oh SA
that is exactly what we all feel I think in this situation. normality, safety, the blessed relief of a routine and the security of knowing your loved ones are safe, that is all we want all the time really. we just don't appreciate it when it happens.
I wish you had people near you who could support you more, just to see briefly? have coffee? we all know you go to the hospital but it is so hard to have your other half not remember or appreciate. Where are the kids how are they doing? xxxx
Can you get time off work? What is the policy for having a loved one with a serious illness? I know you may want to wait till Chemo starts and obviously be at home when MR SA comes home. I just feel that a couple of days off to do with what you will might be better.
I wish we could meet for coffee! I'd give you such a big hug! I think you are doing so well, it is difficult, I think the hardest thing to go through and you are doing it. be proud of yourself
Love buffy xxNevertheless she persisted.0
