Have had a nice relaxing day today and a bonus NSD which will be the last one of March. Lovely sunny day so sat in the garden and Mr SA and I drank the low alcohol wine which was quite nice actually. DD bought me a bottle of prosecco which I'm saving for Tuesday when I break up from work.
Bought one of those water measuring bottles from WW yesterday it's fab but I am going to the loo like nobody's business! Drinking loads more water though which is good.
Don't even have that Smonday feeling tonight, just two working days to go. Wanted to finish early Tuesday but have been drafted in last minute to take minutes of a meeting so will have to write them up before I finish. Hey ho.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello all!
More or less all packed up and ready to go now. Had my nails done this morning, taxi for tomorrow is booked for 4.30am and alarm clock is set for 3am
Mr SA seems to think we only need to get up half an hour before the taxi comes :rotfl:
Mr SA being really boring by not wanting to go for lunch at our local like we usually do the day before holiday.
Finances done, CC paid up to date, grocery budget ok, spending budget not so ok. Will be on target with grocery budget but will have an overspend on spending budget. Despite me thinking I don't save anything so far this month I've added £40 to my ISA and just over £40 to my VSP plus £50 standing order will go out on payday to my regular saver account.
Still not heard from the builder but there's a builder working down our road who happens to be an old school friend of DS. Mr SA had a word with him today and he said he would come and have a look at what we want doing.
I am so ready for this holiday. The weather forecast for Lanzarote is 25 degrees and sunny every day for the week we're there. :j
We have Wi-Fi in the villa so will post and let everyone know how we're getting on.
Let the holiday begin :beer:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Now I can wish you happy holiday!
Hope you have an amazing time, and the weather lives up to expectations.
ps. Love your comment up-thread about "free-range spending" - can so relate to that idea. :rotfl:0 -
Forgot to add - on Friday it will be 4 years since Mr SA came home from work having seizures and that terrible Easter weekend of seizure after seizure that will be etched on my mind forever. If anyone had said to me then that in 4 years time he'll still be here and you'll be in Lanzarote I wouldn't have believed them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hello from a hot and sunny Lanzarote. The villa is fabulous, loads of rooms and space, I keep getting lost. Definitely the best Villa Plus villa we've had. Location is literally a few steps away from the main strip and beach.
Ankle swelled on the flight so was struggling to walk. Mr SA worn out as we had no wheelchair assistance at the airport and it was a long walk to the taxi stand. Sat with my feet in the pool most of the afternoon which was very soothing.
Mr SA is pleased to discover the villa TV has BBC and ITV and is now hoping to find the Dave channel.
We were just leaving the restaurant last night, I went on ahead, only to be shouted back by the waiter, There was Mr SA sat on a chair sipping water having walked straight into a door! People were fussing round - asking has he had too much to drink, too much sun, etc. Had to explain very long day, brain injury, etc. This is why we don't go out at night at home. Because he staggers about and his speech is slurred people always think he's drunk.
Anyway he's fine now, although still fast asleep.
Today's plan is just to relax in the sun, no trekking about.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
