Went out for drinks after work with team. Had a lovely time - we have got a fab team - 7 women putting the world to rights - but had to leave early as usual due to Mr SA. Others were going on for food and cocktails but had to decline. He seems a lot better tonight though thankfully.
Low spend day today £2 towards a bottle of wine at team drinks and £2 for bus fare home.
Spinning at lunchtime.
Hoping for a pottering about weekend, maybe a trip to Aldi. Need to order Christmas tree from Homebase and flowers for my cousin's birthday from Moonpig or similar.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad he seems better today.

No chance of that Beanie, he's adamant. As it happens the ex- carer is now a dog walker/sitter. Doing quite well apparently.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thanks Tuna but there isn't an IKEA anywhere near us and we don't have transport. The past two years we've used Homebase and their trees have been great. Went on website today and can't order a cut tree yet - too early. Will try again next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I don't know where this weekend has gone to say we've not been anywhere or done anything. It's certainly been a spendy one. Small Mr M order in the morning, followed by trip to Savers and Iceland. Then I decided to walk up to Aldi in the afternoon "just for the Super 6" and ended up with a fur pouffe!
Today I ordered some flowers and a balloon for my cousin's 70th. She invited us to her party but too far away for us and what with Mr SA being unwell we couldn't have gone anyway. If it had been just me I would've gone and stayed overnight in a hotel but Mr SA had no intention of going from the off. It would've been nice to see my cousins and their families again though. We only seem to meet up at funerals and they're all a lot older than me - sadly one of them passed away earlier this year. I've promised her I'll take a day off work and go to see her for the day (without Mr SA!).
Booked tickets for the panto - Mr SA finally relented to going to that! We haven't been since the kids were little. It's just the two of us going but it was a real struggle to find a date/time when we could get two seats next to each other plus an end of row seat for Mr SA. Finally got two tickets for the 6pm performance on Sunday 18 December but on the second row of the balcony - I wanted the dress circle but no seats together. Mr SA is happy with the balcony though. We'll go for a meal afterwards and make a night of it. One year we were on the front row of the stalls and the noise from the band was deafening. The drummer gave us his drumsticks at the end of the show!
Mr SA is feeling a fair bit better although he stayed in all day yesterday and only came out for a short time to take the dog on the park today.
The weather yesterday was cold and sunny - we didn't get the snow they got up north. Today we got the tail end of the storm, torrential rain all night and part of this morning. It was a bit windy but not as bad as predicted. Then this afternoon the sun came out for a bit but still very cold.
Got a short week at work next week - off on Friday going to meet up with some retired friends for lunch but it will involve a train journey as we all live all over the place. Not told Mr SA yet he just thinks I'm meeting some friends for lunch locally. Neither have I told him about selling the gold as (a) he'll be upset as he bought me the broken bracelet and twisted chain (years ago) and (b) he'll be off to that workwear shop faster than the speed of light.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
