Can't believe it's nearly a week since I last posted. Mr SA's cold came to nothing thankfully and DGD is better now and they are visiting tomorrow. Wednesday the physiotherapist came to assess Mr SA and she will be setting him some exercises and will be referring him back to neuro rehab. She also recommends he has a carer a couple of days a week and has asked me to contact the social worker about it. My old cat is back to normal now and appears to be no longer on his last legs. I went for a lovely lunch and meet up with my retired work friends today and had a fab time - this was the train journey one. Plus I've lost another half a pound at WW. Only downside is Mr SA has become obsessed with getting a denim jacket from Lidl - we don't have one near us!!!

    Good evening folks

Had a very spendy weekend but all budgeted for as things to do with decorating the hall plus a couple of bits for the garden - all without leaving the house!

The mobility place are bringing Mr SA a couple of scooters to test out tomorrow - he's really excited about this. He needs one as his legs are terrible at the moment.

Had some sad news this morning - one of my cousins died last night. She was a lot older than me at 68 but still young by today's standards. I hadn't seen her for a few years but we kept in touch and I thought it was odd when she didn't send me her usual Christmas card and she never missed :(

Sorry for your news, SA. How sad.

A church friend died between Christmas and New Year, in her sleep, whilst holidaying in the UK. It took until the end of February for the funeral to take place. She had no immediate family. Her church friends made sure the church was full, including representatives from the charities she actively supported including two guide dogs. The hotel where she had been staying sent a beautiful floral arrangement.

I hope your cousin was shown as much affection by those who knew her.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Sorry for your loss SA.

    You too Satchmo.

Just a quickie will post properly tomorrow - scooter is ordered will have to wait for Motability scheme to accept. Mr SA happy about this. Sorry to hear about your church friend Satchmo. My cousin was on her own - her husband died of cancer a few years ago and she had no children - but she had her brothers and sister who were very close to her. She was a lovely lady and my mum was very fond of her. Yet more sad news this week, one of my friends has just been diagnosed with breast cancer out of the blue :( A lesson to us all to keep checking as she doesn't know how long she has had the lump as she doesn't check normally. What a carp week :(
