Glad to see you "out and about" again Lucky.

Of course sofas on credit means debt but it's the only way I can afford to do it and the payments will just get absorbed into the monthly bills pot anyway. They said I can pay off early if I want but why would I when it's 0%, better keeping money in bank. At some stage I'll be getting a home improvement loan for the kitchen/bathroom/boiler as it would take me forever to save up. If the worst came to the worst at least I would know I have a saleable house and could downsize. In the meantime I want to make our house as nice as I can afford to for us.

Just when you think things are going ok....

Was awoken at midnight by a thud to find Mr SA on the bedroom floor unable to get up and he'd lost control of his bladder. He was just laying there with his fist clenched saying over and over "I'm alright", which is just what happened before he was diagnosed over 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure he'd had a seizure. His speech was incoherent. He's been complaining he had headache all day earlier on. So took him to haematology day case today where he had a thorough check over. All appears to be ok except for they want to do a brain scan this week. Some of the tests the doctor did saying how many fingers am I holding up, Mr SA was seeing double.

He's in bed sleeping it off now.

  • Oh Hun, poor you. So sorry to read that. As bad as I feel for Mr SA, I know how hard it is on you too. Are you off work today then?

When do you get the results of the tests? Xx

Hopefully scan results will be clear. Don't know if he's been overdoing it recently with the wallpaper stripping. One thing that came out of the tests is his left side is very weak. This was the side that was affected after the brain bleed.

One thing I'm a bit miffed about is I let his carer know not to come today, he's not even contacted us to ask how he is.

I have three friends battling cancer. One passed away recently, one keeps getting scares and has to go back for lots of tests and the other one, who has blood cancer like Mr SA, has been in remission for 4 years. I thought I saw at hospital today. I messaged her - it was her, she's back on the chemo.

Just feel we take one step forward and two back.

  • Boo to Carer!! I felt put out when I told my boss that I couldn't go in on Saturday - she never asked how I was or said Get Well etc. Some people need lessons in compassion! You'd think a Carer would have it in spades Xx
