SA, I found taking a laptop into the meeting meant I could take the notes directly onto the system, so then I only had to edit them and separate out the Action Points. Hope your meeting went well - staying focused is the hardest part.

Pants about the job contract. It's worth raising the redundancy issue with someone at management level who supports you? Start applying for jobs - and let it be known that you are. Those in redundancy situations can take reasonable time off for interviews, too.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Thanks Satchmo, unfortunately I don't have a work laptop and there's no way I could use my own firstly because of security issues and secondly I don't have Word on it. Just took brief notes so not too bad plus I can do shorthand. Re the contract there's no talk of redundancy at the moment but I know if there was I would be allowed time off for interviews. I have plans to make it clear to higher management that I've had enough of being messed about but it's not down to them it's the financial department in London who make the decisions and I'm just a number to them. I work in the Civil Service and it's well known they're trying to cut costs.

So apart from being tired, everything is ok today. Tomorrow is a back to normal day thankfully. Friday and Saturday nights I love to put my feet up with a glass of wine and watch TV. Not happy that football is on tomorrow night and rugby Saturday :(:(

Hooray today has been a normal day!! Work wise anyway.

Mr SA has been very lazy today and I came home to a very dirty kitchen floor and although he had taken the washing off the line the basket was still outside on top of the bin!! Good job it didn't rain!!

Am protesting against the football Corrie was on early but kick off wasn't until 8pm. Now Mr SA is moaning because I've called half time the interval. BORED!!! Not happy about this on a Friday night. Blokes would soon be moaning if clothes and make up programmes were dominating weekend evening viewing. I am SO going to make him suffer Strictly and X Factor when all this sport nonsense has finished!

Got hairdressers tomorrow, will nip in Aldi afterwards as there's one near there. SIL might be coming Sunday with new puppy.

Oh and DS has failed his second driving test - wrong lane in a roundabout apparently.

    Happy weekend everyone :)

Hello all. Got my hair trimmed today then went to Aldi. Spent £32!!!!! I don't know how I managed to carry my bags home they were so heavy. Kept having to stop and put them down. I need a shopping trolley, considering buying a jazzy one. The thing was I was like a kid in a sweet shop in there, there were so many bargains!

Anyway got home and Mr SA was asleep (at midday!). I really need to get him to help with the cleaning. Before he got ill if he had time off work he would always clean up for me. I don't know why it's gone off his radar. I don't expect him to do much given his mobility issues but it wouldn't hurt him to wave a duster or the Hoover around or at least not make such a mess!

Reading a magazine article today and saw a good idea for losing weight sounds do-able - 2 days on 5:2.diet, 3 days Slimming World and 2 days whatever you want. Quite like that idea. Never done SW. I noticed there's one locally does an 08.30 class on Saturdays which would be handy. Need to do something, I'd like to lose about a stone before Christmas. Mmm!

    Hello all

    Can't believe it's Wednesday already.

Mr SA has made a start on stripping the living room under supervision of the carer. Originally we had planned to have it plastered but on removing the wallpaper the walls are fine apart from the odd small hole so just need some patching up which will save a lot of money thankfully. It's another project for Mr SA now the weather's getting colder and making him feel useful. He can take his time there's no rush, just chip away at it slowly.

Work-wise my manager has told me I might be getting some good news about coming off my contract by Christmas. Apparently a big chief has got wind of the situation and is on the case. So fingers crossed.
