I have had a wonderful surprise today at work. I was asked to go into a meeting room and was handed an envelope with a thank you card and £240 in it!!!!!!! From the managers to say thank you. Still shocked to be honest. So a good Friday the 13th for me. They knew I'd been fed up just lately and wanted to do something about it.

Mr SA was too ill to go to the gym today, he's been getting headaches which is a worry. He's gone back to the not being able to make it to the toilet in time too. It never ends.

Today was almost a no spend day today until I ordered us a Pizza Hut pizza with a £10 off voucher they sent me. 2 large pizzas, garlic bread, wedges and a bottle of pop £20 - with voucher £10 - a good half of it has gone in the freezer for future reference.

  • Yay to lovely surprises :j. What are you going to do with it? Something lovely I hope.

Sorry to hear Mr SA isn't good. Does he have any appointments coming up? Will the case study he is part of be able to help?

Hope you have a good weekend Xx

Thanks ladies. They want me to spend the money on me. I don't want to fritter it away. I suppose I should wait until I see something I really want. I can't believe how lovely the people I work with are :)

Mr SA's doctors project is only once a month. If he's still the same after the weekend he'll have to go to the GP. At the moment he seems ok but I noticed he's got a magazine clipping about headaches in his bedside drawer. Hope he's not keeping something from me.

Great news re the money, please treat yourself with it x

Glad to hear work showed their appreciation in this way as I know you've been a bit down about your role lately. Clearly they think more of you than you thought, (and so they should too) x

Sorry to hear about Mr SA, hope he improves over the weekend

    Thanks Buffy and Granny xx

Bought myself a bag for work today with the money plus treated Mr SA and I to lunch out. The rest will be put to one side for when I see something. Unfortunately he has had two falls today - one in the middle of a road with cars coming!!! An old lady helped me get him up which really embarrassed him. The second time we were on the park with the dog and a bloke helped get him up. His walking has got so bad recently that even he has said he could do with a mobility scooter. I don't know why his mobility has started to get worse. He banged his head when he fell on the park but seems ok considering.

  • The falls must have been frightening, particularly the one in the road. Hope you are ok Xx
