    Hello all :)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. The weather here is lovely and sunny but cold. Mr SA didn't go swimming on Friday thank goodness. He did a bit of cleaning up and exhausted himself. Yesterday we went in town for a coffee and lunch. Really we were supposed to be looking for a clock as the one in the living room is broken. Didn't find one I liked. Today is NSD 3/8. Went to the shop for the Sunday Times and only took the voucher so I wouldn't be tempted to spend anything. I've paid off this week's card spend so am keeping on track. TV started playing up again yesterday so I will be buying a new one when I get paid. We've had our money's worth out of it, it's quite old. I've got a list of stuff we need and a TV was top of the list. It will be nice to actually be able to see something for my money instead of it all going on debt.

Next week will be a "flat" week as no lunches out - it'll be good for my finances and waistline. Mr SA starts his programme with the trainee GPs on Tuesday. For those who don't know he is to be part of their studies as he's such an unusual and interesting case. We had a letter from the place that lent us the wheelchair asking for it back. I was holding on to it just in case but no point harbouring it and if the worst came to the worst I'm sure we'd be able to get another one.

Need to be careful spending wise from now until payday. Not a lot left in the coffers due to paying off debt - but so worth it :)

    Mrs SA

Re wheelchair - Ask your GP for a referral to the wheelchair service, and they will organise an NHS one or a voucher ( my preferred option) so you can go and get one of your choice - often lighter.

    Have a good week

The wheelchair was through the short term loan dept of the hospital. He doesn't need it at the moment so not looking to replace it.

I thought things were going too well, last night he had a fall in the kitchen and couldn't get up. He's far too heavy for me but eventually I managed to help him. His knees hurt today though.

Spent £13.07 in Sainsburys today. Hoping for NSD 4/8 tomorrow. Alcohol free day 3/12 today.

Another fall today, his own fault, he forgot to take his stick out with him. Luckily his carer was with him but really the carer should've checked he had his stick in the first place. I've noticed he's started keeping his spare stick by the bed as he's been struggling to get out of bed recently. The student doctors started studying him today, I think he enjoyed the attention. The study will last for 13 months and they'll follow his progress during this time.

I need a makeover :( My face is red, itchy and blotchy, eczema flared up again all over, hair has gone wild despite having it cut a couple of weeks ago, plus need to lose a stone to get back to my fighting weight. Fed up!

On the plus side today is NSD 4/8 and AFD 3/12 as predicted.

sorry about the fall, carer sounds a bit, well not on the ball?

have you ever tried anything by dermalogica? AMAZING stuff in my experience. Pricey but completely worth it.

Hair wise, I always try to condition, leave it in and wrap in hot towel.

    Take care of you XXXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Sorry to hear about the fall and more so that you are fed up. Hope you get your makeover!

Well done on NSDs and AFDs Xx

Thanks Buffy. I bought some Clinique moisturiser with some vouchers I had, says it's allergy tested so should be ok with it. Re hair, I put some of that Philip Kingsley Elasticiser on it Sunday night with a shower cap over it, left it on for ages before washing it off. It's been worse since.

Lucky it's you who's inspired me with the NSDs.
