First Direct PPI- Has annyone had success?

I made 5 PPI claims on loans I'd taken out with First Direct over the years and they made me a decent offer (5 figures) on them - which I accepted.
Good luck to everyone else - it appears that I was fortunate inasmuch as they all went through first time and were settled quickly.

FD have just refunded me £13,000 mortgage interest, it relates to to poor advice relating to coming out of a fixed rate mortgage. From complaint to refund took 8 weeks and it came with a very nice letter of apology. I have just paid off my car loan

These ppl are driving me round the bend. Took 6 attempts at complaints forms and them coming back again n again signature not verified.... Finally 3 weeks ago got my settlement off they said send us a void chq for account i am using at the moment. Did as they ask sent it back same day it arrived 1 week later i called to ask when would the funda be put into my account. Oh 10 days i was told and then she said they are having issues with the signature again. Security questions then told all ok thank you. Called this morning to be rudely told no im not verified again and the matter is closed will be a 4 week wait for the funds to be released. Nice one.. So dissapointed now.0

They have 28 days to get your funds to you once they've made their decision.
If they are fannying about, write them a letter telling them that you have complied with their requests, that there doesn't seem to have been any movemvent on you receiving your redress. If they don't respond with two weeks you'll go to the Ombudsman to complain about your treatment.
phoning gets you nowhere because not to put oo fine a point on it, the @rse doesn't know what the elbow is doing....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
What they said to me was they r not willing to put me through to the ppi team as they have finished with the case?!?!. This was twice iv been told. Typical when u think your in for a nice stress free crimbo they wip it away. Awe back to a no frills crimbo. If they do makeuis wait the full 4weeks from yday rather than from weeks ago when they got my letter of acceptance itl be jan some time. Cant understand why they wouldnt pass me through to ppi team as i only wanted a kinda rough date. Cant imagine why it would take that long for a bank transfer. I shall draft up a letter adap. Bank of mum n dad need a call now. Thanx taff
