They don't have to tell you you can go eslewhere if you want it.
You will get back what you actually paid plus the associated interest. I don't think Deloittes does the 8% on top.

    Hi all
Like Prof and Andy I have been with FD for about 20 years I nearly fell off my seat when i realised how many loans I had with them and all had PPI !!!

My concern is whether they blacklist your account even though it was misselling on my part when I called them up looking for details unlike andy who they gave all the details to they told me they would deal with it(I think thats due to volume!!) it felt like a we have expecting you Mr Bond moment

Is it good just sending them a secure message and sending them to do all the work or filling in the template?
I am still a customer as alredy mentioned- Does it make a difference

I had full accident sickness cover DIS everything with work when they were taken out

Thanks in advance for your help

    They cannot blacklist your account.

Keep in mind you are better off having your PPI and asociated interest remeoved from your current loan if your complaint is upheld otherwise your payments weill not go down.

Just fill in the template form and send it off.

I have had my complaint in with them for 2 weeks

7 loans dating from 1997 all with single premium ppi front loaded. They cdnt have been nicer when I rang for details. The lady did mention they were in the process of writing to customers to inform they MAY have been mis sold.

Like you, I have been with them for a long time and always held off putting complaint in for fear or rocking the boat.

Have also Heard that FD are very fair. Only time will tell

Will let you know once I have heard from them

Nothing to worry about from my experience. They dealt with everything and very quickly.Since they repaid the PPI the service has been as good as always.

Ppi aside ,I cant fault them at all

Can i ask you reasons that you gave them if you dont mind?

I have discussed just front loading and never been made aware of a loan for insurance, attracting interest along with the loan.

However, I took two of them out on internet and dont think this will wash with FD

What were your experiences with them?

    Cheers

They were joint loans, me and my wife are both in NHS so have excellent sick pay. We also have always had our mortgage covered with mortgage protection so we could continue with repayments. It was that long ago that I cannot really remember much about the selling just that we were sent papers to sign. To be honest they didn't really dwell on the reasons they just accepted it was misold and paid up. Good luck
