    That is my comment, where I made no insinuation to Dimbelby whatsoever choosing the questions and/or the audience and yet you ask me;

    I must be missing something?

    No - you're definitely being obtuse.

    I never said he was. Please read the entire thread, and then show me where I said this. Go on..........I challenge you.

    Btw, the reason she knew her question was going to be broadcast is that questiontime is not live - it is filmed on Thursday afternoon. I've been in the audience (the BBC let me in despite me admitting to having voted Tory).

    and failed miserably by once again being delibaretely obtuse.

    I said;

    It's a fate shared by Diane James, the Eastleigh UKIP candidate who beat the Tories into 3rd place. She and UKIP were called a "disgusting" party who "prey on the vulnerable in society" by a young lady in the audience, who......as it turns out just happens to be a paid labour party activist "randomly" selected by the labour supporter Dimbelby.

    I was referring to the fact that she was selected by Dimbelby on the episode of QT.

    You were insinuating that I claimed he selected all the audience members, and their questions....etc etc. A very different thing altogether. And no I don't believe it was a random selection by Dimbelby, but that is just my opinion.

    Sampong/Badger, are you the same person? I ask because Sampong seems to be responding as if he is Badger!

    You say at 0926 ".... and then you ask me;

    NO I asked this of Badger when he accused me of sharing the questioners views. By the way I am pleased that you are none of the above.

    Then you state at 0930 in answer to my question

    But as I say this was addressed to Badger so why are you answering it?

    But since you ask, you think this is a smear? Not at all it is a Question and your answer seems to be No (will Badger answer later?). May I remind you that the question related to the categories identified by our Prime Minister, they are not mine.
    It was a rhetorical question of course, its hardly something you would say yes to is it? Do check if Badger agrees!

    Oh I see so you're only suggesting that Dimbleby deliberately selects labour plants to give audience comments - it's not the questions you think that are rigged by him personally, thanks for clearing that up.

    Usually the simplest explanation is the most likely.

    Question time is open to the public. Anyone, including labour activists can apply to go on. I expect political activists are far more likely than "normal" people to want to go on question time. Hence I expect activists for political parties often get into the question time audience.

    Once you are there, you put your hand up if you want to speak. It seems more likely that Dimbleby randomly selects people to speak when he goes to the audience for comment. It seems unlikely that he knows who people in the audience are - given that he often gets the gender of the person he is asking to speak wrong...

    I have no doubt there is left wing bias in the bbc, but I doubt that extends to deliberately planting snivelling little brats like this girl in the audience to make stupid barbed comments.

    When you apply to go on question time all you are asked is how you voted in the last election and who you are considering voting for in the next one (if I recall correctly). You are not asked to declare membership of any party as far as I can remember.

    It seems quite likely that the production team for the programme put more people in the audience who say they vote lab/lib than they probably should. It also seems likely that they screen the questions to include more questions from those sort of people.

    It seems very unlikely that they deliberately plant people to just shout pathetic things at the panellists.

    I could have watched it, I have no idea. I was very, very drunk that evening. What happened?

    It seems very unlikely that they deliberately plant people to just shout pathetic things at the panellists.

    Nevertheless, she doesn't live anywhere near Dover where QT was broadcast from. Dimbelby allowed her to have quite a go at Diane James despite not having a noteworthy point other than shouting "disgusting". Usually the host of QT tries to keep the programme moving and swiftly moves on from irrelevant drivel. She had conversations with Stephen Twigg, works full time for the Labour party and to top it all off when the cat was out of the bag she changed her twitter account to give it protected status.

    But yeah - just the normal BBC balance and probably unlikely - as you say that people are delibarately planted to shout pathetic things at the panelists :D

    A very reasonable response to the situation,. IMNSHO.

    What happened was that a hand-picked (and it was) audience with a very high proportion of militant Islamists more or less screamed abuse and many attempted to justify the mass murder that had just been committed..

    Even the BBC itself felt the need to apologise, though Greg 'hideously white' Dyke (predictably) continued to act like a clown.

    Other news media were less generous in their reporting of the disgraceful lapse of judgement.
