Does this suggest the tide is turning on immigration ?

Debates about immigration just turn into debates about the EU and vice versa. It would be nice to separate them sometimes.
No chance, it is the only common ground between the UKIP lot and the general public, they don't have anything else'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. That is simply not true. Link?

Now - how about you find me a link that proves that they do have to wait a certain period of time before claiming.
And how about you specify exactly what this "certain period" is.
And don't forget to post a linky.0 -
Unsure of what legislation that is but EU law will no doubt put a stop to it - specifically under Human Rights.
It would appear there are already some curbs but here are the new proposals.

It's all tough talk though with no backbone.
Brussels are already opposing the action;

Very difficult to implement whilst we are in the EU as we must abide by EU Law. It is one of the conditions of our membership.0 -

I don't dispute that. Simply pointing out what is mooted.0 -
On the 30% - contrasting number of arrests to number of Romanians living in the UK ('country of origin' indicator at the last Census) - this is wrong in many ways:
- some of those are repeat arrests (same person arrested more than one time)
It's not the exact percentage that will be the problem - it's the fact that proportionately that is a hell of a lot of arrests based on the population that is here. Of course the same person could be arrested twice, it may even be the same person arrested 27,000 times! But the same applies to the rest of the countries in the document. It is an alarmingly high amount.- many of those arrested have a Romanian passport but don't live here (as you might know Romanians already benefit from freedom of movement).
Since you're so hot on stats obviously you will have evidence of this? What do you mean by many? 10%? 15%???. You could cut the number in half and there would still be a massive problem. So it's pointless to do the math with the number of those living here as those arrested might not be living here.
It's not pointless at all - those figures expose an obvious problem.- last but not least, Census numbers are severely underestimating the number of Romanians who actually live in the UK. It's not 70-80K, it's double.
You could quadruple the population figure and that group would still represent a high proportion of arrests.Misleading stats...
Why not visit the Mayor of Duisburg in Germany that there is no problem - it's all down to "misleading stats".

Where does it say that? I read they will check it for fairness.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Thanks but there is no mention of 3 months, perhaps you're kind to post the paragraph.0 -
After watching Breadline Britain tonight and in particular the sad plight of Mark, a young man living in desperate poverty and unable to find work, I think its time we looked after our own people. Apparently 30 million people, half the population of this country, are now living in some degree of poverty.
There are not enough jobs for the people who are already here. It makes me wonder what sort of state the country will end up in when all these new immigrants flood in. We are becoming a third world country. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
