Just seen this because someone else has a thread running about this bunch; you may wish to compare notes

This is now the time for the registered keeper to send a challenge as I explained with a few links, on this pepipoo thread about another PPC (where I post as SchoolRunMum):
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=78841
You can also find POPLA appeals being discussed on lots of current threads here too, you don't have to try to find ones about 'your PPC' as the challenge points can be similar.
At this stage it's up to you if you choose a clever/strong challenge full of BPA Code of Practice breach allegations and suchlike, or just a basic challenge. They are likely to reject it and then you can see if you get a POPLA code - that's when you'd need advice on getting that appeal spot on.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your reply.
Or could I choose to ignore all correspondence?
Regards0 -
Absolutely. I was wondering how long it would take before someone treated this correspondence with the contempt it deserved.
Ignoring this and the subsequent begging letters remains the best policy.0 -
In your opinion & is the correct advice if like you they live in Scotland. However my recommendation & that of many others nowadays is that you appeal to POPLA with a sound defence to see off these crooks. Follow Coupon-mad's links & start your own thread on Pepipoo.Absolutely. I was wondering how long it would take before someone treated this correspondence with the contempt it deserved.

Hello again everyone.
Just to keep you updated I have chosen to ignore these threats and have received the standard first letter from Roxburghe Debt Collectors now asking for £135
They will come in handy to light the fire when autumn arrives.0 -
Keep us all posted as to what happens. By using your dates I should be getting my first contact off these lot soon. Do you have plenty to use as ammo if it goes to court.0

Also is anyone aware of this issue of roxburghes having there licence revoked from the office of fair trading and what the implications are if they still try and extract money from us.0

Roxburghe have had that threat hanging over them for about 2 years so if it does happen they will no longer be able to act as debt collectors at all AFAIK.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If it goes to court, all they can claim is what they have lost, namely the 20p I owe them for the expiry of the ticket until the 10 minutes I left.0 -
add in overcharging on credit card payments quoted on their sign, they can't use a percentage anymore, it needs to be a fixed value I believe.0
