Parking Charge Notice

Hello All

Would it please be possible to gain some advice on a parking charge notice which was issued to a vehicle I was travelling in yesterday.

We were 14 minutes late arriving back at the car park due to queues in the shop.

On arrival back at the vehicle there was a parking charge notice affixed to the windscreen, this was issued 11 minutes after the ticket expired.

It is stating we have to pay £95 within 28 days or £47 if paid within 10 days.

We were at fault arriving back to the vehicle 14 minutes late, but I feel the charges are extortionate.

The notice was issued by Car Parking Management (Cumbria), PCN Parking Services, PO Box 465 Lavender Park Road, West Byfleet, Surrey KT14 9BS

I have a photo of the parking charge notice and a one of the sign at the site, if they are of any use.

Should I pay this notice.

All advice gratefully received.

No you shouldn't pay. Just ignore this silly impersonation of a real ticket. Others will be along shortly to explain why the paper is quite ignorable. If you take the trouble to read some of the hundreds of other posts in this forum you will soon see that you best way forward is to completely ignore the scam ticket.

I have read other posts, which make me think that I should not pay.

I do have links to photobucket pictures but as a new user I cannot post.

Why do you think you were at fault?
You have already stated that you were late as the shop was busy and you were buying something!
Is it you fault the shop was busy?
No of course not, perhaps they should have more staff on to take your money off you quicker!

Firstly I would complain to the shop manager in no uncertain terms, and you definitely should not consider paying the scam parking invoice from the sham parking firm!

You will get some regulars along soon to help you further with this soon I'm sure!

Perhaps my initial post was a little unclear.

The car park is not part of the shop where I was shopping. It is totally separate.

Is this the car park next to Iceland?

If so then as they aren't BPA members they can't get the RK details from DVLA

Hi Cumbrian male, no not the car park next to Iceland, although I did get a ticket there a couple of years ago and paid it, as I knew no different at the time.

This is the car park on Fisher Street, and they are wanting £47 for 14 minutes, if paid within 10 days, otherwise £95.

its a FAKE ticket/invoice,just IGNORE,it aint real,,the real ones are called PENALTY charge notice,issued mainly by police/traffic warden,, you DO NOT have this,,you have a PARKING charge notice=fake/con.scam/fiddle=loo paper,so ignore all future threat o grams from or on behalf of these fraudsters,do NOT contact them,nothing can/will happen as a result, you have NOT recieved a TICKET and not been FINED,,,the jobs a belter then,relax,worry not,chill,feet up.

I thought that one was council but obviously not, I will take a look at the signs next time I'm in Carlisle. Zoomed into the signs on GSV and can't see a BPA logo on that.

You have nothing to worry about but I will double check the signs no later than this weekend.

You can tell if its a fake ticket not only by the name (parking charge notice) , but by who the appeal goes to and who takes payment.
