The good news is that the car went through its MOT and only cost £15 for a replacement light switch plus £45 for the MOT:j.............Not bad for an old girl of 20 :D

That's Good On the MOT. Could have been a lot worse.

    Afternoon all,

Happy Birthday Redruby have a lovely relaxing day:beer:

TTFTM I use something called Easy-do hob care. It's transformed my life:o sad I know. I bought it from Amazon, I think it was £12 for ten bottles which I split with my mum. It brings anything stuck on easily and gives a lovely shine, don't know how I managed without it.
Sorry to hear about the family problems, girls are such hard work.

Well been out with my friend today for a mooch around the charity shops and she bought me a sandwich for lunch which was lovely. We had a good old natter and a catch up which we try and do once a month.
Out with my lot on Saturday night for a meal, but we have a voucher so should be reasonable.
No tea to cook tonight, the boys are at football and I'm still full from lunch so we shall have something on toast when they come back later.
Managed to do my shop for £43 in Aldi and use my £5 off voucher so very pleased with that.:j
Off to have ten minutes on Candy Crush to which I am addicted:D
Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.

Hello everybody and Happy Birthday RedRuby :bdaycake:

Well slightly better night's sleep but very down. Finally picked up the courage to ring the PALs office to chase my meds letter from the hospital and surprise surprise just had a telephone call to tell me that since PALs emailed and spoke to the secretary a letter has been dictated, will be signed after clinic and faxed to the GPs tomorrow. Despite the fact I wrote the letter the reply can't come to me...... this is probably "in the interests of patient condfidentiality" which is what I had quoted at me once when I asked why the blood test results that the Consultant said they would send me in the letter which I had been copied in on hadn't been..... When I think of the blood test results I have sent to patients over the years  However isn't it amazing that the letter has been already done ;) Pulled out of a pile more like..... well two months is more than an adequate time to reply to a letter in my opinion...... Apart from that not much. Raining so no gardening which is okay as I'm not up to it mentally frankly. Two lots of washing done instead. A fair amount of typing work today and batched cooked some savoury mince for OH to take to his Mum this weekend..... not sure I'm up to going really, I just don't want to be putting on a brave face and acting "normal" when I feel ike just watching telly with a hot water bottle and biscuits :rotfl: Dinner tonight will be the last of the fish fingers from the freezer with peas. Might have pancakes for afters..... and an early night....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Butterfly - if that's an urgent apt I'd do what others seem to do and pitch up at A&E...

TTFTM rather than cancelling Mother's Day, why don't you call for a raincheck, and have a belated one, all of your own, once DGD has started acting more reasonably, that you and DD can enjoy?:o

That's a lovely idea LW. We will do something soon, we are used to postponed special events in our family, we have had Christmas late and birthdays too in the past.

I hope we can sort something out by my DGG's birthday in a couple of weeks. My DD is bipolar, it started in her teens and turned our worlds upside down for years because she wasn't diagnosed and we had no idea what was happening to us, when our beautiful 15 year old turned into someone we did not recognise almost overnight. It took over 10 years and much heartache to get anything like normality back in the mess we called our life.

Our DGD is just coming up for 10 and is exhibiting almost identical behaviour but 5 years earlier and we can't help but fear the worst. We are waiting for child psychologist, psychiatrist and social services referrals but despite my DD's, her GP's and the school's best efforts, they are taking a very long time about it :(

Time to speak to someone in the Information Governance department, probably the hospital's Caldicott Guardian.

    Happy birthday to redruby

Regarding Ralgex, I remember that. My dad used it on his back, and when I was about 10, I strained a muscle in my leg, so I borrowed his aerosol can of Ralgex, and sprayed it liberally over my leg. But I inhaled all the fumes and couldn't breathe!

It's probably not around any more, due to idiots like the 10 year old me!
