    okay

Feeling really tired. Woke at 3.am sweating and shaking. Couldn,t really drift back off to sleep. Got up then at 6.30am. Just got back from the school run and got a cupper in front of me. Planning on not doing a stitch to be honest

Diet is not too bad. Got a habit of not having breakfast, jumping onto coffee and then picking in the afternoon, but then have a good evening meal.

Late november I had a panic attack and sometimes can,t help thinking about that time. First one in 3 years so bit of a shock. I have noticed the build up to my cold that i was taking deep breaths, like a train is sat on your chest. ( bit like indigestion ). Just thought I would mention this.

My oldest got dance tonight and to be honest can really do without it.

I switched to a wheat free and sugar free diet and didn't have a cold for a year. When I did it was after a few weeks of not taking such good care of my diet. i also lost loads of weight into the bargain!

Vitamin D is also essential and in higher quantities than recommended.

My hubby said he is gonna pick up vitamin D3 for me today

Maybe I should take the adivse and have a bold test from gp. Something else I have noticed, when I have eaten bread or heavy food it isn,t going down to great. Maybe I should get it out.??

I take a Berocca multivitamin (effervescent) a day with my 75mg dissolvable asprin, seems to work for me and I generally stay cold free when others around me are suffering.

Well for the past week and a half, I have had something really nasty. It could not have come at a worse time, because the OH and myself were starting to really enjoy the gym. I don't think that it is flu, but nights are really bad - coughing fits after twenty minutes lying down (must be the lungs filling up with fluid), and hot and cold sweats. I have lost 4 kilos since this thing started, and most of that is because I don't feel like eating (unheard of in my case), and when I do eat, I am in the loo within half an hour. I feel a bit yukky/sick all the time and have no energy but my muscles/limbs do not ache.

Holland and barrett are to be avoided they use all kinds of fillers and junk in there products, for good quality products i use brands like doctor's best quali c, now, quest and sometimes swanson, biohealth, biocare and solgar.

Even better would be to forget the vitamins and use the infinately better absorbed food sources, so look up vitamin c rich foods and up your intake. Same with zinc etc.

Get a blood test done to check everything. Btw my doctor prescribed me d3 after a blood test then again it may be cheaper just to buy it.

Echinacea is only good at prevention, garlic is said to cut a cold duration down by 50% but can irritate the gut, perhaps a good quality suppliment.

Finally probiotics will help pick up your immunity if you have had your good bacteria destroyed by to much antibiotics. Get a good quality probiotic not these Mickey Mouse flavoured drinks masquerading as medicine the supermarkets sell. I recommend all antibiotics are taken alongside a good quality probiotic as your gut health has a colossal effect on your immune system.

Caffeine causes adrenal fatigue so give your body a rest, i can recommend herbal tea by pukka they are sweetened with herbs.

A lot of people don't realize that the symptoms for to much acid in the stomach and to little are practically identical so if antacids don't help try the opposite. Unfortunately drs are only trained to go the antacids route, in fact drs in general are over-rated once you find yourself with a chronic condition.

Don't push yourself the last thing you want is for this to develop into me/cfs. Good luck . x

Tell drs exactly what you said here with a view that they will most likely order a blood test.
