With the Major2 year fixed rate ISA does anyone know if you can withdraw early and forfeit all the interest or whether the money is entirely inaccessible for the term?
    I think....

Probably best to wait until Monday for the actual T&Cs but as a guide this is what the current FRISA says

Partial withdrawals are not allowed. You can access the whole of your balance by closing the account or by transferring the cash ISA in full to another ISA. On early closure a charge equivalent to 120 days' interest will be applied to the account.

This is all confusing me. Do I have to get a 2 year fix or will there be an easy access one? I don't have a Santander current account.

There will apparently be both fixed rate and instant access ISAs. These will both apparently attract a higher rate of interest for holders of a Santander 123 current account.

The official announcement from Santander should be tomorrow, so not long to wait for 100% accuracy :p

I formed the impression that only the Major ISA would attract the higher rate for Santander customers but you did say apparently twice. You are right, we should all wait until tomorrow :)

2 year fix rate at 2.8% with bonus if Rory wins again. 3% for 123 loyal customers again with the bonus. Said nothing about the instant 2.5% being for 123 customers so available for all and accepts transfers which is refreshing as sick of separate Isa's in different banks. Gonna check website tomorrow but definitely looks a best so far

2.8% ad on telly now. I didn't see anything about the special 3% rate for 123 account holders, but may be it was mentioned - - I just caught the back end of it.

I'd love to know how much they could pay us if they didn't have to go on telly and pay Jenson, Jessica and Rory a small fortune. There's easily a few million sunk into this.

Yeah, why bother advertising when the mere fact that you are top of the best buys should bring in enough new business..

Judging from the sort of questions you see people asking on these boards, I think the sad truth is that people watch more telly than look for best buy tables. And they might get swayed by some good looking sports people, even if neither of them probably knows much about cash ISAs.

Mind you, it could all be a lot worse - - they could have signed up Carol Vorderman, or that idiot from the compare.com ad.
