I have also received the welcome pack but this does not mean I have actually been upgraded.

As you might remember, you were given a date for the upgrade when you applied, and it said these upgrades will happen at weekends. The first possible upgrade weekend is this coming weekend.

Until the systems changes have been made, nothing will look different online. You can continue using your Flexaccount as before, which you would expect you can. Card and cheque book (if requested) will be sent in due course.

To those having issues registering your mobile phones, you obviously know you don't have too in advance of an incident with Nationwide?

Hands down Nationwide beats the halifax reward deal though without a doubt.

Nationwide Mobile phone insurance: Covers you & your partner/families phones
Halifax Mobile phone insurance: Covers you only (or your partner if you have a joint account)

Nationwide Roadside assistance: Home start, roadside and onward travel (Relay) all included
Halifax Roadside assistance: Very basic cover - Home start, roadside (Relay which is included with Nationwide is an extra £59.41)

Nationwide Travel insurance: £1,000 Travel Delay after 4 hours, £5,000 Abandonment (Plus better compensation levels across the board)
Halifax Travel insurance: £250 Travel Delay (£30 for the first 12 hours and £20 for every subsequent 12 hours after that)

Nationwide Commission-free cash withdrawals abroad: FREE withdrawal is back!!
    Halifax withdrawals abroad: 2.75% + £1.50

    Nationwide fee: Always £10
Halifax fee: Currently £15 unless £1000 goes into your account then £10 BUT from May 1st to get the reduced £10 fee you have to pay in at least £750, have 2 direct debits, use it as your main account AND remain in credit!!

Nationwide account interest: 3.00% AER in-credit interest
    Halifax account interest: 0%

This all seems like a no-brainer. Sure you get a £300 fee free overdraft with Halifax as apposed to a £100 with Nationwide and Homecare cover with Halifax as apposed to extra warranty with Nationwide but I still think the above shows which is better value.

    Awesome job Nationwide.
    Hardcore moneysaver

Sounds good but who knows what happens when it comes to a claim.

It's the same outfit that administers both. My initial contact with them (to register my cards) has been less than satisfactory.
