Popped into Waitrose on the way home tonight not much stickered stuff left, the lady in front of me had a few bits but not massive discount but worked out well with the 3 for 2 then 10% off aswell she seemed like a pro i'm still learning!

Did pick up two large topside rump beef from the meat counter for £7.99 kg instead of £15.99 kg £8.47 for 1 and £9.47 for the other, which I will give to my parents as notmal go there for Sunday dinner and don't like them paying all the time, then 6 saussages from the meat counter for £1.92 reduced not a massive saving but looks a lot nicer and still slightly cheaper than the others so happy with that.

Then went to Morrisons to get some petrol and popped in and picked up a huge chocolate birthday cake serves 20 for £1.99 BBD 29th July, looked like it had been tipped upside down icing stuck to the lid bit so it just said "HA" which made me chuckle, ideal for pack lunches and sharing with my parents and nan. Spreading the joy :)

Depends on the shop. Asda where I live is around 10am so I only get that one on weekends. Tesco and sainsbury near me are both about 5pm!

Can I remind people to not ask staff to discount items. So many people ask without realising that the staff can be fired for reducing items which have been handed to them. I've seen this asked so many times that a lot of staff no longer care and just reduce it, some don't even check the dates. If the staff reduced an item that wasn't supposed to be, they'd get a P45. They'd usually get a ticking off if caught reducing an item for a customer, otherwise.

I have had people argue over Yellow Stickered food, as well as say e.g. Why didn't you hand it to me, I asked first! Despite telling them I can't hand them reduced items, or reduce items for them specifically. If it's on the shelf, fridge, whatever, I can do it then. I can't do it if you've filled your basket up at 9am and are now waiting around at 8pm to get it reduced...

Yes, I saw this just the other week in Asda, the young girl was reducing the bread and stuff down, this lady came along and said are you reducing this, handed it to her and she said, yes I am but I can't hand it to you, I have to put it back down on the shelf, which she did, then the lady picked it straight up rolling her eyes. I realised the young girl was doing as she had been told.
