Reduced bargains and yellow stickers shopping

This might have been asked before but I can't find it, I'm fairly new to yellow sticker shopping.
When does Tesco usually reduce their prices, I can't seem to catch it at my local Tesco Express.
If I do catch it the reductions don't seem to be that great. Is there a knack to this?
Ask staff in the shop what time they start reducing the food just don't ask when people are around because you still won't get any good reductions because the people that listened will go the same time as you.
I've never asked staff have quite a few tescos in my city they always have reductions do notice it's late at night when prices go down more.Moaned in co op to staff reductions are expensive he told me the time to go.0 -
By pure luck I was in Mr T yesterday just after 7pm and they were doing final reductions, fruit & veg was swarming with people so I headed straight for bakery and managed to get
Kingsmill soft white medium sliced loaf 8p
Warburtons 4 pack grains & seeds soft rolls 10p
Kingsmill fruit & fibre bread 12p
By the time I got to the fridge reductions it was wiped out, you got to be quicker than lightning :rotfl:0 -

Im finding it increasingly stressful to be honest. Some people are very, very aggresive and pushy. I have literally been pushed out of the way, an old man took a pack of reduced mince out of my hand once without a word, ive been called a vulture, its awful  Dont go nearly as often as I used to because its so stressfulThink I need to develop thicker skin.

Reading this thread shows just how many of us are really finding times tough in this country right now. However saying this I never feel that the aggressive behaviour is warranted.
I have often been shopping with my OH and have witness some horrendous behaviour from people with children, Teenagers, elderly and staff! Which turns me in my tracks. Sometimes I think is 40% off a loaf of bread worth abuse?
Saying this, Last night my partner went to the local big MR T. He searched the reduced and was shocked to see that some people was fighting over a reduced block of cheese that was reduced by 10p! Also one woman was filling her basket up with YS items & she never even looked to see what was in each packaging. He did say that whilst this woman we loading her basket, He see a younger couple unloading behind her, Without her knowing.
OH managed to get:-
Burgers fresh £1.59 normally £3.21
Carling zest £2.10 normally £6.89 (6 pack, One missing and damaged box)
Cheese treats £0.15 x4 normally £0.88 each
Mature Cheddar £1.37 normally £3.18. (cheese counter)
£8.14 saving!! JFuture goals:

By luck I managed to get 2 x wholemeal bread for 9p each! Got there really late there was nothing in reduced and no abusive people lurking :rotfl: they were reduced but decided to leave them there, the rest of the stuff was wiped out, walked past again and the staff reduced to 9p asked if I could have 1 and went back for the other 10 mins later it was still there.
The staff were really nice its such a shame some people are so rudeSecond Purse Challenge

I've noticed that Tesco reductions start around 3-4pm round here and aren't worth bothering with- 5p or 10p off. Around 5pm, I've had bits with about 20-30p knocked off. They must get better later in the day, but I've not managed to catch the 5p an item thing! Tesco's tend to have separate areas, so you have to search out the one for each dept to find the reductions.
Waitrose round here starts to reduce items 1-3 days before their date. And in the last 4 hrs before closing the reductions get really good, if the item goes out of date that day. Waitrose leave the items on the shelf, except some fruit and veg which get put into wicker bins. Tesco Express reduces in the morning, but not enough for me. They have separate areas they move items to. Budgens is usually quite good though, on the day items are going out of date. Depends on the item though. They also start reducing a few days before. They have separate areas for some items and fruit and veg tends to be on the shelf still. Coop is similar, but sometimes I don't find their reductions enough. Sometimes items are on the shelf, sometimes in a separate area.
Sainsbury's you need to get there after 5pm. Again, the later it gets the better the reductions, until store closes. They tend to have separate areas for reductions, but sometimes you spot gems on the shelves!
Of course, this is only what I've found locally.Minimalist

I am deeply disgraced by what I witnessed less than an a hour ago!
Was at my local MrT's. Approached the reduced section and noticed maybe 12 to 15 women stood there chatting. Never assumed anything so continued to have a sneek around.
A young lad, Maybe 16, 17, Brought 2 baskets on a trolly out and within seconds these women turned into savages.
I think now supermarkets should have a rule of maybe x amount of items per shopper when it comes to YS!
It causes fights, heated arguments & some people nearly pushed on to their backside!
I did however, After the hurl of scurrying ladies left manage to get:
x2 reduced sandwiches £0.20p
x2 "" "" wrap sandwich things £0.11p
X2 loafs of bread, long date £0.5p
x2 bread rolls 6 pack long date £0.4p
6 free range eggs, slightly damaged box £0.33p
11 bottles of mixed beers for OH £3.51.Future goals:

It's reduced for a reason. They want rid of it to reduce the waste budget. Making rules saying you can only have one item etc is not going to achieve that.0 -
Got a pack of 4 writing icing tubes (white choc, milk choc, dark choc & caramel) for £1.39 in Mr.T's this afternoon, reduced from £1.98.
Happy with that as they're in date til March next year, but I do a ton of baking at Hallowe'en so have put them away for thatDoing great with YS baking bargains just lately!

I understand that, but at the risk of any accidents, I'm not kidding, these people are dangerous if you get YS sausages before them! I'm all for people saving money, I do it myself but its a joke that people can & do act so rude..Future goals:
